I have 3 master's degrees. One of them is an MS/Accy. Of course, working for the state doesn't give me a chance to use all of my skills and it seems like it was a waste of my time, but hey, I have 30+ more years to go before my retirement, so some of those degrees may come in handy...
And to address the topic of government politics - Yep, same thing here...Doesn't matter what you know, it matters who you know..and who knows (and likes) you!
Three! Wow, TK! Very good for you!
Thanks
Just to clarify....
The first one was double major and I got it in Europe where having a master's is a minimum required to get a good job AND the education was FREE!
The other 2 I did while I was working at a university, so they paid for my MBA, but MSA was funded differently, and they wouldn't pay for it and that was the one I really wanted, so I paid for it myself. But couldn't pass on the FREE MBA, hence I got both of them ![]()
So, I got 3 degrees for the price of 1. Why can't they have similar deals in handbags??

The leather looks so thick and not flattering at all, and that lock is HUGE! I didn't like any of the Sambas... also, saw the pebble leather zip zip and the bitsy next to it. Both small and funny looking, especially bitsy.
Samba leather remind me the portofino leather few years back. I saw the samba bags too at Macys I don't like the lock huge and ugly. If I get one maybe when they go on sale and maybe the small cross body

It's so dead in the "handbag department", I went to see what's going on some other forums, and WOW, a lot of hatred and complaining going on.....People have nothing better to do???
I consider myself lucky being in such a good company on here (in the bags topic).
PS. Wow, just saw a pic of Alberti's house on FB (he posted a pic of his dogs)....and I am sure some of you saw Lisa's house as well.....Did I choose the wrong major?? Maybe I should apply for a job at QVC! LOL.....

Nope, have yet to see one IRL, but that's all right. I've pretty much decided I'm not interested. Never went the zip-zip route either, and heaven only knows I have no use for a Bitsy!

Yea, the bag forum goes through lulls... Sometimes it's really active and then sometimes its pretty much moribund...
To be sure, the boards can get snarky. Speaking honestly, I'm not immune to a little snark now and then, but sometimes some folks take it a bit far and get a little more personally nasty than they need to be... Guess it is what it is.
Since you mentioned it, I went over to Alberti's page and saw the picture of him and the doggies... Looks to be a great house. I've seen pictures and videos of Lisa's too and it too looks to be a very nice home... Guess we missed the boat by not becoming Q hosts...
"So tell me TK, what color did we have for you...?"

I recall seeing the IM coat presented. Glad it worked out for you. As for a move to QVC, well, it's a long way from CA to PA... maybe not so far though from VA to PA... I just hate the notion, though, of being put on overnights!
Loved what I saw of Alberti's place, would love to see more of it. Although it would appear Lisa has done lovely things with her house and that she also has a stunning yard, it would seem it's actually just a very nice 'tract' house. Of course, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. I suppose many of us grew up in them and will live in them as adults too. I don't have kids, so a single family detached house in the 'burbs' has never topped my list, but then again, there are suburbs and then there are suburbs...

Oh, so you are from VA....I wasn't sure
Maybe you can go work for FBI then
I had to google "tract" house....I guess it means a cookie-cutter house? If so, I don't think that's what Lisa has because it looks like she has a HUGE garden and that fireplace was very large too, but I've never been in a home in the east coast, so maybe that's a standard there - just like those huge castle looking houses in Texas....
A cookie-cutter home in California is way smaller and has a very tiny backyard...
