Spence slide sandals

A year or so I bought Spence slide sandals as TSV. I've tried to wear them but my feet break out in a rash above and below the top of the shoes. I guess they are neoprene. Just wondering if anyone else has had an allergic reaction to the material? Would it help to wash them? I checked the reviews but didn't see anyone else that had this problem. Thanks!

@FRS   I've not had your problem but I wear a medium width and the Spenco slides are always too wide, even if adjustable.  I can't keep them on my feet.
