Re: Sizing on TSV Fly London

I'm a size 8, and I ordered a 39, which is an 8 - 8.5. The shoe feels wonderful on my foot, and the arch hits in the right place, but my toes are about 1/2" from the edge. Should I try the next size down? I'm afraid if I do my toes will be at the tip of the shoe. These European sizes are confusing!

@Marmee4

Do you have any spacing at all at the heels?

Measure the length of the shoe bottom, and perhaps if someone can measure the length of their size 38s, you can get a better idea if a 38 would be a better size. One-half inch of space is too much. (That's what happened to me w/ the Alegria.)

I was at the bottom of the Alegria sizing, (6-6.5) but at the top of the Fly London sizing (5.5-6). The Fly Ls fit perfectly on me, with about an 1/8" space at my toes, as well as my heels. Alegria was too big.

If your toes reach to the cording, then that, I think is a better size. The cord edge is about 1/4" - 3/16" of an inch.

I agree that the sizing can be confusing, especially if it is different between the manufacturers. Sometimes just a 1/4" makes all the difference.

Re: Sizing on TSV Fly London

Thanks for responding, Harpa. My heel fits perfectly in the shoe....goes right to the cord. I did adjust the laces so I could slide my foot a bit forward, and it looks good. My hubby thinks it looks fine. Just to be sure, I ordered another pair in a 38. I'll see which fits better. On the other hand, I ordered the Yame shoe, size 39, and it's perfect! I guess every show runs different. Thanks for your input! Have a nice day 😊

Re: Sizing on TSV Fly London

I have a few pairs of Fly Ls.  I take a 7 ½ or an 8.  My personal rule is 38 for sandals, open toe and 39 for closed toe.  Hope you find which size works for you!  I love them. So comfy!  Wear them in good health.

I where 8 1/2 or 9 but can where 39 in Algeria or Birkis.  40 in Fly London

Re: Sizing on TSV Fly London

I just received my TSV in Luna and love the color.  Everything fits great I ordered a 36.  My only issue is the backstrap is alittle tight and hurts the back of my foot.  Will the straps tend to stretch?  I really like these and do not want to return them.

Re: Sizing on TSV Fly London

The reviews of the TSV are not good.  Many posters complained about the sizing in both length and width.

I was surprised to read one color was made in Portugal while the black was made in India.  According to the poster the quality of the shoe was not the same.

Re: Sizing on TSV Fly London

Thanks for writing, Beachy. Even though the 39 doesn't fit bad, I ordered the next size down. I'll keep whichever one fits the best. I will remember your "rule" when ordering this brand next time. Thanks for your help!
