Can someone recommend a brand of shoes that have good arch support?  I need a pair of dress flats that I can dance in.  I have severe nerve damage in my feet so I need to try to keep pressure of my toes and balls of my feet. Thanks in advance!

I wish I could help, but I have found the only thing that provides me with enough arch support are my custom made orthotics.  I can transfer them to whatever shoe I'm wearing.

The shoes QVC carries with the most prominent arch support is Vionic.  Many stores carry them so perhaps you could try them on to see if they're for you before buying.

I have custom orthotics, but they only fit my sneakers.  I have a pair of dress orthotics, too, but with my high arch, they push my foot out of many flats and wedges. I thought about Vionics, too.  I was hoping there were other brands out there. Thanks for the replies.  Much appreciated.

I also need good arch supports.  My arches are still high and I injured my hips and knees in an accident.  I have Clark's, Algeria, Dansko, Vionic and a couple of others.  Not all were purchased on line.  I have identical pairs of shoes whose arch supports are not the same.  From my experience I would suggested that you buy good supportive shoes but buy them where you can try them on and walk around on a hard floor.  I have learned to put my shoes of choice on at least an hour before leaving the house.  Not sure why, it could be my posture that day, but shoes I can wear all day today hurt my feet the next time I put them on.  All have little wear and the foot bed is in very good shape.  I have learned what grocery stores have floors my feet can not tolerate so I don't stay there long.  By no longer buying great shoes at very nice prices on line I am saving returns, shipping and the aggregation caused not just by improper sizes but also the needs of my feet and arches.  Please don't spoil your joy of dancing by settling for less than your feet ask for.  We all hope to keep them in the best shape possible so they can serve us " forever" however long that is.  Good luck.

@2zbeach. I just reread your info and all of the replies.  You stated that you need to keep your weight on your toes and the balls of your feet.  Have you discussed this with the doctor who treats your feet?   I was wondering if you purchased a shoe with about a 1" heel by raising the back of your foot would that put the pressure forward where you need it and not where it hurts.. I seldom wear even 2" because it shifts my weight and kills my hips.  For dress I have purchased some very nice platform shoes but I think I would have trouble dancing in them.  Just a thought.  Happy Dancing.  Wish i could but my 2 left feet trip me up.

Munro shoes are my favorites. Arch support isn't great, but is better than 95% of other shoe brands.

You might want to look into some of the Earth Brand shoes  - Kalso or Earthies.  Not necessarily on QVC, but check them out at their website.  Some are dressier and might be OK for your poor feet.  (I feel your pain!)

I'm having trouble understanding what you need.  You put "of your toes and balls of your feet".

Did you mean on or off?
