I am sad to say that Roma and I must part ways. I am so in love with the blush color and the bag is beautiful but after purse posing for a week, the bag is just too big for me. I know the size was posted but i hoped with pushing in the sides a bit and carring it on my shoulder it would work, but I can tell it will not.

I need to get it to USPS ASAP before I change my mind. I loved everything about it but it did not love me.

No typo---to purse pose==means to check out oneself in the mirror with said purse on shoulder or arm to determine it's look. At least thats what it means for me and other purse crazy ladies Smiley Happy

Re: Roma 2 and I Parting Ways

I also think it is too large for me for an everyday purse.

I know people say you should know by the measurements, but it is more than just measurements that make a bag big. I think this bag looks large in part because the leather is very thick and it doesn't slouch as much as it would if it was a thinner leather.

But the thickness will make it a very durable bag, so I may keep it just for travel - still deciding. It will also depend on whether the odor dissipates.

Re: Roma 2 and I Parting Ways

I just got my ivory ostrich on Tuesday. She went through two days of training and had her first outing today. For the most part, she stayed on my shoulder with the handles pretty well (I haven't tried the shoulder strap yet). I bought a purse organizer to use with her and still have plenty of room. I have her loaded with more stuff for tomorrow for "work" tomorrow (my encore career). I may go back to the Gili blush backpack or emerald crossbody for everyday use but you'd have to pry the ivory ostrich out of my cold, dead hands! LOL!

Thanks, Tsukiko, for the conditioner recommendation - I'll give it a try.

I like the style of the bag, but didn't order. Even on Lisa, it looked too big. It's out of proportion. I prefer to carry my handbag, not look like it could carry me. It is a lovely bag, but I'm afraid it would drag the ground if I tried to carry it. Kudos to all you ladies who are tall enough to carry it, I don't think it would work on my 5 ft. frame.

You could use it as carry on luggage for all of your Women With Control items. Maybe it is just not an everyday bag. I like to have different size bags for different purposes.

Re: Roma 2 and I Parting Ways

I returned the cream snake because theres was a scratch going down front of bag. It was beautiful...but the defect bothered me. The size of bag doesn't bother me...but I haven't taken it out yet.

I have a few more colors. The blush is truly beautiful. Does anyone else think the blush color blends in and looks like it matches your skintone? Another words...I don't think it looks good on my arm...making me look washed out?

My favorite so far is the black & natural ostrich. Blush maybe going back...
