For those who remember shoes from decades ago, what were some of your favorite brands?

I don't know what brand they were, but I remember loving my saddle shoes when I was growing up.  I attended Catholic grade school in the late 60's and we had to wear them.

Penny  Loafers and Harrachi's and Saddle shoes....showing my age.....lol

...and we used to wear a couple of pairs of sox,for some unknown reason.............lol

I cannot think of a specific brand but I loved penny loafers and oxfords.  Oh, and saddle shoes.

@TaylorBrown  To this day, penny loafers are my favorites.  I currently have three pair in my shoe rack.

Other than my weejuns, the shoes that I remember most were high platforms with rainbow patent leather and ankle ties ( bought in Height Ashbury at the height of hippies).

I remember Capezio flats something like this that I wore in junior high.  I just loved them.
