Am I the only one who thinks D&B handbags should be carried by women who are 70 and over?

I tried to sell several at a local consignment place...Clothes Mentor (a franchise place).

They wouldn't take the satchels with the D&B logos...said they were out of date and wouldn't sell! I had a black on black one and a brown with tan letters.

I was shocked!

But they did take two Basso coats - a full length faux mink and a short rosette jacket. The girl at the store loved them!

Sorry but the tsv doesn't scream over 70 to me.

It's dated and ugly also, looks like a bag from the 60s

Funny, I never thought of my hobo lock/logo in aqua for a 70 year old. I was carrying it today in Macys and 2 ladies stopped me and commented on it and they were young.

The color makes it a young style?

I have to think it is the style too. Any 70 year old would be overwhelmed by the bag. To me that bag screams cool.

Ok, you are from a younger generation. Everything old is new again.

Enough with the ageism! Last time I looked, there were no signs on clothes or handbags that said which age should wear/carry them. And not everyone under 70 is cool!

Funny how every time I carry my Florentine Domed Buckle Satchel in Chestnut, someone wants to know where I got it and says "it's a nice purse." Thought I literally was going to have to sell it to the Pharmacy Tech at Wal-Mart one day as she went nuts over it, but the best part, "I ain't 70 yet!" Even if I were I would carry what I like, what suits me and my personality, not what someone who couldn't sell some purses thinks, or anyone else for that matter.
