Apparently the demand for narrow widths is not great enough for them to stock them. Many, many people, on the other hand, seem to wear wides.

More people wear a medium to wide width shoe. It is the same with long length pants. They never think of long legged women even their talls are not really long.

I was in a shoe store recently due to someone who needed their feet measured for a proper fit and on orthothic. The sales-person told me even they stock very little narrow widths they order them only as needed.
They carried almost everything in wide width though.
People are getting bigger, not smaller apparently.

Narrow shoes on the Q - - Forget it........don't even bother to beg. But - be happy you don't have fat feet! LOL If they do have one style in narrow - it'll be some strappy ugly that you don't want. (trust me on this)

I've been preaching this for years. I have a very narrow foot and fashionable shoes are difficult to find anywhere. Years ago you could go into a shoe store and buy AA, AAA, AAAA width shoes. Now you are lucky if you can find AA narrow widths. Not everybody has fat feet. I don't know very many women who wear wide or extra wide shoes. Frustrating as all get out.

It is not the vendors who cater to people with wide feet. It's QVC buyers who do the ordering and could order any size they want.

I know what you mean, I wear a med. now, but in my younger days I wore a AAA, and never had trouble finding shoes.

As I have gotten older, my shoe width has changed from a AAA to a A or M. When I was younger, I never had a problem finding the narrow widths. While people are getting larger and many need a wide width, there are many people who are not large who also need it. I think it was yesterday that I heard Sharon Faetsch say that she needed a wide width and she is very tiny.
In the end, buyers will buy what sells the best.
