This doesn't bother me at all. She's not putting her feet into my shoes, so I have no reason to worry about it.

Not just Jane, but the models. Who gets those shoes afterward? They can't package them up and sell them to us, can they?

Jane is very happy doing the shoe selling. Maybe the vendors give her the shoes gratis.

They're sold as "as-is" items if they're still in good condition. That's one of the listed descriptions in the "as-is" listings, that they could be on-air samples. So if you don't like it, don't buy "as-is" items.

I do hope they don't sell the shoes they demonstrate on the show.  But if you think about other items they sell and demonstrate...like make up (lipsticks), I'm sure they don't sell those items either once they are used on air.  (Hopefully not "as is" either...lol!).  (We all know this happens in "real life"  at department stores)

Don't bother me at all.  As long as their feet are clean.  Same thing when you go to a department store -- you don't know who tried them on before you so what's the difference.

If you're bothered by the notion that someone else's bare foot might have touched the shoes you buy, do not purchase "As Is" footwear, because it appears the on-air items go there:

"This product may be a customer return, vendor sample, discontinued inventory, or on-air display and is not in its originally manufactured condition. It may not be new. In some instances, these items are repackaged by QVC. Accordingly, the manufacturer may not honor any original warranty. However, QVC's standard return policy still applies. A card will be included in your package explaining these points in greater detail."

I hadn't realized before retrieving this copy from an as-is item listing that manufacturers' warranties might not be honored. That wouldn't impact shoes, most likely, but it sure would many other items. Hmm.

Doesn't bother me.  I really don't want to see a pair of peds when they are modeling a sandal.  It kind of takes away from the look of the shoe.

They're probably sprayed with Lysol or that stuff they use at bowling alleys.  ;-)

I don't know if this bothers any one else, but this is a total turn off when Jane puts her bare feet into all of the shoes to try on.  Even in shoe stores  they provide little hoisery socks to put on before you try on the shoes.  You know they will put those back to sell.   I wish people would have not only common sense, but  think what you are doing beore millions of people who are watching the hyginiety(sp) that is not there.  Thanks for letting me vent how I feel.

I couldn't agree more. I went with my husband to a shoe store because he wanted a new pair of hiking shoes so we stopped in and I walked around while he was trying on shoes.  I saw a woman sticking her dirty bare feet into shoes that she had pulled off the shelf. There were those little pieces of stockings in boxes all over the store to put over your feet when you try on shoes. I grabbed a handful and gave them to her and smiled, saying, "You probably didn't see these." She said, "Oh, I don't need those but thank you."  I looked down at the shoes she wore in, and the insides were dark and stained,  so who knows what she was depositing into those shoe she was trying on? I'm glad I wasn't tempted to try anything on myself. Yuck.

One time, when I taught, I went to a major department store and tried on a pair of clogs.  I was trying them on with hose, and they had the imprint of someone's toes in them!  I looked at the bottom and they had been worn!  The store was selling them for full price!

As I have stated previously (this is a recurring topic), could someone please tell me how a thin, porous little piece of nylon stocking stretched over my foot is any more hygienic than a bare foot?
