Throw them in the wash w/the clothes & air dry on the window sill.

I use what we call our “dog towels”, old towels specifically for wiping the floor, etc. Our pup has been gone for years but we always have dog towels 🐶.

I wash the liners weekly and air dry.
I have always thrown the clogs in with towels. Air dry and they will last for years....I have a complete wardrobe of colors.
My feet changed over the years and these clogs make walking a pleasure, even on cement floors at big box stores.

@CAcableGirl2 Please don't ever use dish soap in the washing machine. It's made to create suds which are bad for washers. You may also have a big mess to clean up.

@kaydee50 I find it more appealing than filthy shoes but I probably wouldn't use towels, which I want sanitized.

I don't wear sneakers, but I do wash my Minnetonka fuzzy slipper-slides in the washing machine - usually with towels. I never put them in the dryer though....I think its better to air dry them - outdoors in the sunshine if possible. BTW - if they were horribly dirty, then I wouldn't put them in with towels - I'd wash them by themselves.

Sometimes I hand wash them; sometimes I throw them in the washer. Usually I air dry but occasionally throw them in the dryer for a few minutes.

I don't buy shoes that require machine washing.
I do have sneakers that I put in the machine and let them air dry. I just tie the sneaker strings in a double bow and it stays and doesn't get entangled with other garments. I don't wash them alone. I wash them with other garments.

I cannot throw my tennis shoes into a wash with anything that touches my body. So I always wash them in with my bath mats and line dry (all in the shade) all those items. Bath mats last longer if you do not put them in the dryer so it all makes sense.
