Have you ever had an excessive amount of shoes?

Years ago I had 67 pair of shoes. Probably not excessive by many of you who are obsessed with shoes. For me, although I did wear each pair within a year, I really had a lot more than I needed. What about you?

I probably do NOW.... I am retired, but kept my "office shoes". They are ALL "heels" and have only been worn on carpeting. I am short, and wear a small size.......so I am sure no one else would want or need them.

BUT, I find it difficult to part with them (!!)

I have many a shoe. But I wear and like. I did get rid of two pair in my last purge. I have a couple pair of heels but do not wear often but nice and comfortable and dressy. Goes with my dressier dresses.

Most of the heel ones are long gone and just a nice variety now and only comfy ones.

Wear a boot and a closed more of a dress shoe in winter and the sandals and tennis shoe all the other times.

My latest purchase was Allegria in black and daisy. Have not worn black pair yet.

Did not bite yesterday because cutting back but also not crazy about a thong style between my toes.

Not sure how many I have but I would guess 75 plus.

Come fall I will go thru again and purge any that need to go.

After retirement and years of no longer wearing them, I donated many pairs.

I have too many shoes now but a lot less than when I retired.

I really wear just 5-6 pair plus a couple pair of boots when it's cold. I found a couple of these on clearance so have them when the first ones wear out.

Right after retiring, I donated all my suits and dressier shoes. It's been a few years and I never needed them so it certainly wasn't too soon to give them away.

Twice this year, I packed up a lot and donated them to a women's shelter. I need to pack up more but at least I'm down to what fits in my closet.

I dress much more casually since the pandemic even at work. I have many pairs of shoes but I tend to wear the same pair of shoes every day to work. I do have multiples pairs of that shoe so when a pair wears out, I can replace them.

My estimated guess is about 50 pairs. That includes boots and sandals. I have many Skechers in different colors and mostly use them on vacations, so they stay nice. I do try to wear most of my shoes a couple times a year. My few "kitten" heels don't get much wear as I don't seem to get too dressed up anymore.
