If more us would have drawn the line sooner, we wouldn't be paying these ridiculous prices now. Let's stick together. I was looking at LV website. I don't care for their logo, but I was just curious about their pricing, and they were charging thousands for canvas. I know their customers are different from mid-priced vendors, but come on. We women are being conned into giving our money away.

No one is being conned.

LV does some beautiful bags, but, personally, I'm not enough of a fan to pay the prices.

However, they are very upfront about what they're selling. It's not like they're trying to pass off coated canvas as leather.

If anyone doesn't pay attention to what they're spending all that money on, that's their issue.

I love Coach. Last Summer they had a beautiful straw bag. It had I think about 90 of the leather coach tags, in many different colors, all around the top of the bag. It was $900! For a straw bag! I live 100 miles South of the Canadian border, so, needless to say, a straw bag is very seasonal.

As ridiculous as that price seemed, they certainly weren't trying to con anyone. If you could afford it and paid the price, you knew what you were getting.

We all have our own ideas of what we will and won't spend money on. As it should be, it's our money.

Wow, that's crazy!!! Shipping is "service", you are not "purchasing" it...so it shouldn't be taxed!!!

Most 'services' are sales taxable in NY, TK. Haircuts, mani/pedis, even oil changes. Some places roll it into the total price so it's not always visible, but its for sure included in the final price we pay. Its one of the reasons why NY is the highest taxed state in the country - if it moves, the state slaps a tax on it.
