I thought I was one of the lucky ones with no issues but I just checked the handles yesterday and sadly, the cracks are there. So it is going back asap. I really liked the bag -- color and size were great for me -- but I won't exchange as I may get one from the manufacturer with the issue and I won't risk it, not for that amount of money. I'll now wait for the Roma 3 and hope the issues are really, truly addressed.

I have communicated with QVC about this issue several times. I have suggested that they should have a recall of all of these bags. But, all they say is to return the bags, I do not trust QVC, nor do I trust any GILI product. This bag is shoddy, not well made, put together quickly , and these bags continue to be sold. Someone needs to address this, but no one really cares. QVC is hiding their shoddy workmanship.

I thought I might have lucked out as well but not so. The handles on my black bag are now starting to crack so I will be sending it back. Very disappointed because I thought the style and size of this bag really was going to work for me. Oh well, the search for a great bag continues.

I am very glad you will be able to return the bag, but would you really reorder the next one? Speaking for myself, I wouldn't trust ordering again.

Yes, I actually would reorder but only the Roma 3, not a "fixed" Roma 2. I wouldn't trust that I'd get a new, improved bag if I just exchanged right now. The reason I feel the Roma 3 won't have these issues as I'm certain Lisa is mortified by the issues (what designer wouldn't be) and she would push for better quality. Regardless if you like her or dislike her, I believe she is a shrewd businesswoman and would not allow this to happen again. But that's only my opinion.
