A-01192 Franco Sarto Leather Over the Knee Boots $169.98

People have been complaining about all the boots, but everything I've been seeing are what I call booties, the short, below the calf,  boots.  Finally, tonight I see my first full length boot.  Not that at 5'2" I could actually wear an over the knee boot.  But, for you boot lovers......

I just got  new pair of boots and they are currently at my shoe guy's shop getting stretched out a bit since they're slightly too small for my calves.  I know I'll never get more than my hosiery covered leg inside them, but I'm okay with that.

I do wish these hosts with toothpick legs would stop talking about the room in boots though.  Yeah, they've got extra room, but they also have toothick legs. I'm probably in the minority though.  Just a bit jealous.

Just my opinion.... I wouldn't call over-the-knee real boots. They look good on very few people. They are more for going out, fun events, or in very limited work places.

I'd like to see some leather boots that can be worn instead of shoes. For me, I prefer the ankle high if I'm wearing them the same as I would shoes. Others like a higher boot and it works well for them.

@Icegoddess

OMG!  They are gorgeous.

I had a pair of suede over the knee boots that I just loved, but between bunion surgery and my feet actually growing a whole size, I had to give them away.

@CalminHeart I call those booties.  What I'm calling real boots are tall boots.  I've seen all kinds of the booties you're talking about, but this is the first pair of tall boots I've seen QVC present all season.

Try wide calf boots - better than having them stretched.

I like ankle boots, knee-high boots, and in between.  Never tried over the knee.

They got my attention and had to control myself from buying.

I'm one with skinny legs and too much room in tall boots.  They look silly on me.  These boots would probably slide down and puddle around my ankles.

@FranandZoe These boots did not come in a wide calf and I wanted THESE boots.  They did at least have the shaft measurement online but even though the shaft circumerence for my size was 15 1/4 and my calf is 15, the shaft circumference is measured from the outside of th boot, thus the need for some stretching.

The other reason I don't like wide calf boots is that almost all of them are vase shaped while the boot that I fall in love with is not.  I did luck out a couple of years ago and found some Marc Fisher boots on HSN or QVC that had a wide calf that wasn't vase-shaped, so it can be done.  I scooped them up, tried them on to make sure they fit, and then handed them to my husband to give me for Christmas.  Granted, they probably wouldn't fit your typical wide calf customer.  I guess ther's different categories of wide.

BTW, the boots I'm having stetched:

Not at all!  Only a segment of people have "toothpick legs".

I wouldn't want anything thick in boots (where we live, and we do go below freezing.)

I just started a thread about these boots. I'm 4'11" and wore them today and got lots of compliments. I included a picture.
