Okay, the FREE shipping got me. Free try-ons, relatively cheap returns, if needed.

In addition to the two Fly Londons (already pictured above) I ordered, I've ordered the Yama. The suede will be comfortable, it looked great on the models with skirt and jeans, plus the back ties are a bit edgy:

@1ProfessorTotally forgot to mention, one day a lovely associate at Belk in  Lancome wore the lace ups.  New to the brand at that time, I asked what they were.  The leather was SO beautiful it caught my eye. You just don't see beautiful leather any longer.

@ECBG:

Loved the presentation on these, even though I don't generally wear lace-ups! Favorites were the blue suede and burgandy patent!

@ECBG: Fall Quarter I taught two back-to-back classes. My feet would have adored these!

@1Professor  Nice choices for sure.  I could see me wearing those too.  Did you get both colors?

I was eyeing those snappy red boots, low heel but they're $220.  Even with free s/h & easy pays I'd want to keep them but I honestly don't go out that much to get $220 worth of wear!!!!

I really enjoyed SK's show yesterday - quite FLY she was.  This line suits her but I wasn't thrilled with her choice of boots but that's what makes this world go 'round.

I did order the Yip but from Nordstrom as they have free returns I'd need be. I think their shipping is faster too.

I really like the ones that tie in the back, but I'm afraid they'd come untied and I'd trip. So cute though!

I can't get beyond how clunky they look. Huge and heavy visually. I have my share of fat Danish clogs ( which I love and have worn for decades)  and chunky, clunky ankle boots for winter, so I pass on additional footwear with heavy thick soles, etc.

Fly London shoes are WAY more comfortable to walk in than the clogs (which I also have a great collection of). If you're ever near a Nordstrom's, you might want to just try a pair on, to see the comfort and difference, even if you're not in the market.

They don't actually look clunky in real life . . .

@1Professor

I am not worried about the comfort but the look. You're probably right about the clunky look. In pix, you see more that tire-tread sole than you probably  see in person.  I live in clogs around the house and have since my early 20s, but the good ones are hard to find. I stocked up the last time I as in Copenhagen. I  wouldn't be wearing the fly London shoes around the house the way I wear clogs-- like slippers. But you're right that I should try them just to see how they look.
