Just got back from the Dooney retail boutique. They have a 30% off sale on some Alto handbags and some Dillen. And this weekend, there is an additional 20% off on these items. (30+20=44% off) They had the Alto zip zip (both sizes) in black, navy, tmoro, and red. All sales are final, but these are great deals and I don't know if we will be seeing much of the Alto in the future. The zip zip is my favorite style handbag, so I added to my collection. There were also some other Alto styles including the tassle, etc. And there were some in the saddle color also.

You can call the store in the Westchester and they will ship these sale items. I work with Maria and Alex, but everyone in the store is very helpful. The phone # is 914 390 2472. When I left there was still a lot available.

Good for you LJ! Hoping you enjoy your new bag and I'm sure you will. Interesting that the website is now only showing one size of the Also zip zip, so you're probably right that this line is going to take some kind of a hit. I so envy you having Dooney retail accessible. Did you happen to notice if Camilla was included? I sort of doubt it, since I think that's a newer silhouette. So what color did you get?

Thanks for info. I just received my 1st Dooney which was purchase from Macys. I love it ! Macys had a great sale online, so it was shipped. But, to my surprise they shipped in a bag and cushion !! I No box. They stuffed in my mailbox. Thank goodness it was not damaged. But, thanks Macys for your great effort !

LJ...Congrats on the great score! I love the zip zip satchel...such a clean, classic shaped handbag...ENJOY! This is making me want to visit the Dooney outlet this weekend. A dangerously expensive venture for sure!

stevieb: no, the Camilla was not on sale. I was trying very hard not to drool on it because I knew I wouldn't be buying it at full price. But they did have some of the newer Alto styles. I though I would want one of those, but I went right for the zip zip. It's the right size and the most functional for me. Although I am tempted to go back and look at some of the other styles, I don't think that I should.

Bestdr: I'm happy to live near a Dooney store, but I wish I lived near a Dooney outlet. I'd be in there at least once a month. I think they will be having some great sales this holiday weekend at the outlets. I don't know if they will ship or what the return policy is. The deals at the outlet are probably better than what I got, but I don't know if they have the same styles and the same colors. Of course, if I was there, I'd find something to buy.
