I've been a sock lover all of my life. I keep seeing every slip-on shoe/clog/boot etc., and they're not wearing any socks. I just can't imagine wearing no socks here in Chicagoland in the fall/winter. Do you wear socks with shoes? If so, what brand/style do you wear?

Yes, I wear socks when I'm not wearing sandals.  I'm also in Chicago and cannot imagine slipping my sockless foot into shoe or boot.  Mostly buy Gold Toe.

I rarely wear socks but in the winter, while I'm at home, I wear sheepskin lined suede slippers so I don't need socks for warmth.  Rarely gets cold enough to really need socks here.

@HonestLife   I wear various brands.  For work, I have to wear socks with my uniform.  I wear crew length socks.  In the "winter" here in South Florida, I may wear socks a few times during the season when I am not working, like under my jeans, if and when it gets cold enough.  ❄

My feet are cold even in summer, so yes, I wear socks year-round.  As a result, I rarely wear sandals and the ony other time I don't wear socks is with my dress shoes. I even wear socks with my fur-lined house shoes and my feet still get cold. Funny, as soon as I go to bed at night, they get hot.

Mostly, I wear Costco trail socks.  Regrettably, they aren't what they used to be.  They quit carrying them for awhile and when they came back, they just weren't they same.  First wash and the insides have loose threads.

I always have a sock inside my boots unless they're peep toe.

The issue I have with socks is the toe seam works under the ball of my foot and makes me sore (it must be the way I walk).  I found a brand called "Hot Socks" and they are ultra soft, don't crowd my boots, and are all around perfect!!!

Yes, I wear socks!  Just the idea of bare feet in shoes is "skeevy."  

Depends on footwear, weather and where I'm going:

• Knee-high hose (various brands)
• Trouser socks (various bransds)
• Black socks from Hanes.  Last year I tossed most of the old socks and bought 24 pairs of the same socks.  Never have to go searchng for a mate.

Yes, when the weather is cold.  But...they have to match my pants and shoes...

If I'm not wearing sandals, I have to have some sort of foot covering between my feet and my footwear. Not only is it more comfortable (my feet aren't sticking to the inside of the shoe) but it prolongs the life of the shoe.
