The SAS has real buckles too. You can still find the three strap SAS sandals, but as you mentioned all SAS are terribly expensive.

I'll see if I can find the three you mentioned. 
Through the 80's and 90's I used to wear SAS all the time.

sally was a fun vendor!

after she was fired from birkenstock she found a job on QVC with earth brand shoes. she was also a representative for the LUG brand online. she would do live sales from facebook, but not sure if she is still doing that or not.

i found it quite funny that when she lost her birkenstock job she was selling all of her used birkenstocks on ebay! LOL i guess she wanted a clean break.

I love soft bed Birkenstocks and they are my shoes and sandal of choice. I would advise to shop around to insure you are not paying for shipping though. Birkenstock.com, Zappos.com etc,

@maximillian @cheriere  I loved Sally, she was very amusing

                           and fun to watch. She was great at her job

                          presenting Birkenstocks. I bought a lot of   sandals and clogs from those shows.

                          I was sad when Sally left. Later she returned and I think that it was Earth Shoes she was presenting.                       

                         Now, I buy Birkenstocks directly from Birkenstock or from Nordstroms.

Just want to point out for those who may not be aware, but HSN regularly sells Birkenstock. They currently have several styles on clearance, and also have free shipping.

I stopped wearing my Birks some time ago (couple years?) because nowadays my toes get too cold in open toe sandals.  *sob*   I used to carry socks in my purse to put on in church if they got cold and then decided that was dumb LOL.  So now that we are chatting about them I think I'll try them again this year since I have so many pretty ones.

I loved Sally! I thought she was excellent and I too bought quite a few pairs from her. I wonder if and why she was fired?

@Allthingsgirly67 ............I dont know if she was fired from Earth Shoes or not, but she was laid off during Covid and she did not return.
