Re: easy cobbler

[ Edited ]

I like pumpkin cobbler this time of year:

1 15-oz can pumpkin puree

1 cup milk

1 cup sugar

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1 box yellow cake mix

1 cup chopped pecans

1/2 cup melted butter

Mix pumpkin, milk, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon in bowl.  Pour into lightly-greased 9x13" baking pan.  Evenly sprinkle cake mix over pumpkin mixture.  Evenly sprinkle pecans over cake mix, then drizzle with butter on top.  Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.  Let cool for 15 mins before serving.  Very tasty served with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

@deepwaterdotterI wrote to shortbread by mistake, I'll make yours with the pumpkin, and the cherry one when this is gone. I love when recipes are put on here. Thanks to both of you.

I made the cobbler with the sprite and it turned out really good.  Instead of using canned pie filling,, I sliced four peaches and cooked them up with sugar, cinnamon and a little lemon.  It was a delicious recipe and I would like to try the one with the pumpkin too.  Thank you.
