I am going to make beef chop suey.  I use round steak and cuf in small pieces and saute with onion and celery in a little veg. oil.  Cover with water about half of the pot (I use a large dutch oven type).  Simmer cook for 1-1/2 to 2 hours to make the meat tender and then add a Tablespoon of Bead Molasses, soy sauce to taste.  Drain chinese canned veggies and small sliced water chestnuts also sliced mushrooms.  Salt & pepper to taste.  Serve with chow mein noodles or white rice.

Chop Suey

Round Steak about 1 lb. cut up into small pieces

2 or 3 stalks chopped celery (Tbsp.. veg. oil)

1 med. onion cut up into slices & then cut again

1 Tablespoon Bead Molasses

Salt & Pepper to taste

Soy Sauce to taste

Drained Chinese Vegs. 1 to 2 cans what you prefer

1 small can sliced water chestnuts

1 small bottle sliced mushrooms add more water and-- Heat through

You can use a more expensive cut of meat if you prefer.

@Katcat1 ....I love Chop Suey but had never heard of Bead Molasses before..interesting.  I looked it up.  I've always used Grandma's Molasses.

Dinner tonight.....Stuffed Pork Tenderloin (done by my

butcher...😁👍).  Tomorrow....Fondue for Football (and Valentine's Day).

@Katcat1  Making a large pot of chili loaded with veggies to last for a few days. Will use it as a dip for the tortilla chips and cheese we eat tomorrow while sort of watching the "Big Game."

Grilled steak, opened potatoes sprayed in olive oil with onion bits (on the grill) and a Caesar salad (I found Carraba's Caesar copy cat salad dressing!).
