I use the tricolor rotini.
Chopped tomato
Sliced black olives
Sliced cukes
For the dressing I drain the oil off of the bottle of Italian dressing and add a package of original ranch dressing to it. Then I put Feta on the side for people who want to add that to their serving

I make pasta salad a couple of times a month.
1 cup pasta (prior to cooking) (Barilla Protein + due to diabetes)
yellow squash cooked slightly in the micorwave
cucumber
Onion (like to use red but yellow ok too)
cubes of mozarrella cheese
half bottle of Ken's Zesty Italian
Optional add-ins: chick peas, black olives, celery, salami or pepperoni, shredded parmesan cheese, tomatoes
Pretty much heavy on the veggies

The pasta salad I make is great because there is nothing in it to spoil.
1lb rotini
3 cukes
2 green peppers
1 onion
1 jar chopped pimentos
Dressing is 1 can tomato soup, 3/4 cup oil, 3/4 cup vinegar, 3/4 cup sugar.
Absolutely delicious and refeshing when cold.

Super simple: Mix together mayo, bit of milk & packet of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing mix, add cooked small cut pasta of choice, optional - add green onion or grape tomatos

I get creative with pasta salads. I buy lots of different salad dressings - all kinds of vegetables to add - both fresh and canned. Frequently add tuna or salmon. I recently "discovered" seasoned rice wine vinegar ... using it frequently.

I use that same dressing for bean salad.

@RedTop Bean Salad sounds good...I have never had that, what type of beans do you use if you don't mind sharing your receipe. Thanks

I use canned green beans, wax beans, kidney beans, and green lima beans, all drained, chopped green and red pepper, onions, celery if I have it, plus the tomato soup dressing.
My family likes chopped raw jalapeño pepper in bean and pasta salads, as well as chopped garlic.

Anyone use shelled edamame beans in their salads? I've added them to soups a couple times, and have a wonderful green color, but now I'm thinking they'd be just as good in pasta salads.
