Some years ago, must have been about 25 by now, there was a big scandal about the solution from which Mexican vanilla was made, being toxic.  People were advised against buying it.  I often wonder if that situation still exists or was it resolved?   I haven't heard any more about it.   Shortly after that time, my dad bought me a big bottle of vanilla and was assured by the seller that it was "the good stuff".  I used it all and nobody got sick.

They sell Mexican vanilla on exclusive site on the internet so I think it would be safe.
