Thank you for posting your Grandmothers recipe...looks wonderful..my Dad always stuffed the turkey as well, with the extra in a baking dish..but that is surely taboo now..but funny thing is...we are all still here to tell the story...

we stuff the turkey and then whilte the turkey is resting, i take it out and place in it an pan and bake it until it reaches 165.  best of both worlds.

 

iu sometimes add a box of stove top to it to add a good flavor.  iuse sage, thyme and salt and pepper.
