I was tempted at the grocery store today to get another pumpkin swirl cheesecake.  I had a firm discussion with myself though and did not cave in.

But I did get these Cheerios!  There's even a fun tic-tac-"O" game on the back!  🤗

Based on the glowing recommendations of a couple of posters here, this afternoon I purchased a pumpkin Frosty at Wendy's.   I normally love anything pumpkin but that was one nasty confection.  It tasted totally artificially flavored and was sickeningly sweet.  Now I have an aftertaste I can't get rid of.

Not in the same ballpark as the Dairy Queen pumpkin pie Blizzard.

@Kachina624   Oh no!  How disappointing!  I don't care for anything overly sweet either so I won't be trying that Frosty now.  No DQ in my town either so that's a no-go.

@on the bay  Yeah I had to pull myself by the ear out of the bakery section!  That aisle is dangerous.  The thing I can't figure out though is how that Chunky candy bar ended up in my cart.  🙄

Re: To my fellow pumpkin lovers

There is a difference between pumpkin and pumpkin spice.

Pumpkin spice is cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and ginger.  Those spices are used to spice up pumpkin, but are not always wonderful without the pumpkin.

Many items are made with pumpkin spice only....no pumpkin.

I like foods made with real pumpkin and spices....not just the spice. I think cloves are sometimes too strong and they ruin the taste.

I don't really care that much for ice cream, but I have tasted some pumpkin ice cream from the grocery store that was excellent.

I haven't had any this year....yet.

I'm planning on making a pumpkin bread this week. It's one of my favorites and so moist. I love pumpkin season.
