kittyfan, how annoying about your insurance. Hope you get it settled.  A large insurance company should have a live CS person!  

Doctor appointment in Austin - DD is drivng me since I won't drive there.  It is worse than any other big city I've ever driven. A virtual maze!!  Hope this will be the last appointment.  He is the Vein doctor and wants to make sure the injuries I got on my knee (when I fell in December) are completely gone  Like the doc, not  driving in Austin 😊

We will be 88 today with some afternoon rain.  We never got any yesterday as predicted.  Oh well, it is what it is.

No sunshine today but that's ok...got the grilling done last night...yes, yummy, and enough leftover for another meal.  DH grilled them a little rare for me so reheated will be perfect!  

cookie, hope your doctor check-up goes well.  I understand driving in the big cities...crazy....like being on the Indy 500 track!

I found my blueberries!  Both of my stores had been without them this past week.  Today I went to my meat/fish store and they had them!!  Must have been on a lost truck.  Prior to that, I bought a bag of frozen blueberries so I have plenty now.  I have heard some people say frozen is as good or better than fresh.....we'll see.  Time for me to test that out.

Cool day but sun is out so nice afternoon.

Good evening.

This morning started getting ready to go to TS. Decided I didn't want to go. Gloomy day. Just heard a weather alert. Not close. Tornados and softball size hail. Yikes!!

I think there is a time when little boys look like little men. Then they change.

My typewriter arrived safety in Michigan. She loved it. Said Amazon had ribbons and she intended to use it. She is a history buff. Did some looking determined it was truly a period piece 1925 to 1929. I had no idea it was that old. Her son didn't share her excitement. LOL

will do TS on Friday. Try to do one day a week minimum. Saturday meeting friends at Cafe. They announced yesterday after Mothers Day they would close for a month to remodel! I hope they changes aren't too modern. Part of the charm in eclectic. Mismatched and homey

Good morning ~ kittyfan - happy to hear that your friend received her typewriter and loved it.  What a perfect gift for her!  Good plan you've got for the TS - a little at a time.  Good news for the Cafe!  From what you have shared here, I also felt the eclectic miss-match hominess.  Hope they stick with what made them popular.  

Doc visit went fine.  No problems - everything okay. He asked if wanted to come back in a year - not necessary, but just a check.  I agreed - better safe than sorry.  Thankful it didn't rain, just warm and humid.  Today we will be a cooler 76 with rain.

walker, glad you finally found your blueberries!  DD brought home some delicious giant blueberry muffins - that was lunch!!!  You mentioned them on Cheerios - my favorite breakfast - I will have to try it.  

Tootie, I was thinking of LG and his haircut yesterday and all I could picture was Prince Louis.  So in my mind you have a Prince of a GS 😊

kittyfan, wow, that was an old typewriter and to think that your friend can still get a ribbon for it?? glad that she is so happy with it ... the Cafe must be doing very well if they are going to remodel ... I hope they keep their unique style too!
