Good evening 

Oh another generation of bakers in the family!   Soaking up wisdom from grand dad.

I got up and logged on to Bible class at brothers church.  Followed by services. I really enjoyed the message.  I had planned to go to pick up the evening meal.  Others were waiting when I arrived. One lady looked at hers and questioned it. Well when I got mine I saw what she was talking about.  Menu was cabbage rolls. Something I made often in the day.  Nothing like mine. On my way back learned someone on the hall had moved out.  She had only been here about six months. She had a dog that barked a lot.

Oh yes cookbooks. I enjoyed them and particularly enjoyed the community ones. But now the internet has everything one needs. Of course some recipes are special.

We're going to have a hot and humid day, like you had yesterday walker ... 🥵 ... were you able to get your walk in?

No plans for today other than my Moanday Monday chores ...

Good Morning Friends!  ☕️☔️🇺🇸

Happy Monday!  Rainy start to our day....clearing and more rain later, I guess.  I did get a walk in yesterday, Tootie.  It was comfortable in morning with little breeze.

I like cabbage rolls but have never made my own, kittyfan.  
Hope the SO ones were ok....definitely not as good as yours..😉.  Another resident gone?  Sounds like it may have been an issue with the dog....barking not good.

I have 10 cookbooks to donate.  I went through all and copied a few recipes.  There was one I had forgotten.  It was good so I need to fix that one again.  It is called Sweet and Sassy Chicken....easy....chicken breasts (can use frozen)...mixture of salsa and brown sugar on top...bake...serve with rice.  

Tomorrow the 3 A's are coming over to help grandpa take down a tree in backyard.  🪚🤞 It is not huge but in way of others.  I told DH a LONG time ago...when it was small...take it down...one buzz...gone.  Does he listen to me...NO!  Mr. Outdoors..grass and trees...🙄  We had a professional business out a couple years ago for bigger trees.....hey, dear, have them take out that one in corner..did he?....NO!  Ugh!  Stay tuned.....🤞

I took the cookbooks to library today.  As I was putting them in the donation bin outside the library, a man walked by and said "that's a lot of books".  Ha!  I replied "yes, it is and feels good to get rid of them"...😂

Hope your day is going well......just had another heavy rain go through.  Finishing laundry......dryer just rang for me 😉.

Hello friends ... good for you walker! you lightened your load of cookbooks! someone else will enjoy them now! I've had that Sassy Chicken ... really good and haven't made in a while ... that's a big issue I have, I copy recipes and never think to go back and look/try them!!

LOL at Mr. Outdoors Grass and Tree ... tomorrow he can be Paul Bunyan ... hope he can get it taken care of!!

We got good news this morning ... surgery is set for Monday, June 15th ... time to be determined on Friday ... DH is so glad that he doesn't have to wait another two months ... two weeks from original date is way better!!

Have a good night ... it's sweltering here ... 85 degrees and A/C is on!!

Oh good news. Rescheduled surgery and cookbooks donated. 

Paul Bunyan and associates to take care of that tree. I know these services can be $$$

I think perhaps she was asked to move due to her dog.  I never saw the dog and know that some dogs can have a deep bark.  

I talked with brother this morning. He called me while I was waiting on lunch pickup.  While I was talking with him sae EMS go up the hall.  I took the long way home. Ni told brother if I ever needed service to avoid the lookey lookers. He will be here mid week,  I have an appointment on Friday. Need to do labs and vet appointment.  I just let him fit me in his schedule.  

85 degrees would be nice for us!  But you aren't used to it.  I couldn't deal with your snow ❄️ ❄️ ❄️.

You're so right kittyfan, I am not used to this warm weather that we are having! 🥵 we've had a sunny and 85 degree stretch for the last 5 days ... I'm sure there are a lot of people that love it, but I would love it if it was 10 degrees cooler!! on and off rain for us today mixed with that hot temperature.

I hope we didn't leave you a mess walker!! hahaha!! I had a dream that my family and I rented your house for a birthday gathering ... you and your DH hid out in a small room in the back of your house and before we all left (we had to be out by 10) you came out with a big box of .... cookbooks!! 😄😂 ... you told us we could each take one as a "party favor" ... 😄😄😂😂 ... we had a great time and I don't even know whose birthday we were celebrating ... 

No plans except to make sure that we have everything in order for Monday and beyond ...

Happy Tuesday!  Muggy morning..but think day will be clear for Paul Bunyan (😂Tootie👍) and crew.  Next two days very warm, 90, with storms possible.  Still Spring, right? 

Your dream was so funny, Tootie!  Sure made me laugh.  Dreams are so strange, eh?  You left on time ...no big mess...haha.  Enjoy the cookbooks...😂.

Great news on upcoming date for your DH's surgery, Tootie.  It is so hard waiting and wondering...pre-anxieties.

Rest up, kittyfan, you'll be busy later this week with DB and appointments.  He needs his own private jet! 😁

Paul Bunyan update.....tree down within 30 minutes....clean-up about another hour.  3A's were a big help and great crew!  DH has some finishing up to do this afternoon.  Grandpa cut into the tree and had boys holding ropes.  Soon it was TIMBER!  

I had to laugh.....planned on feeding boys lunch but they were done at 10:30.  One of them said "I'll eat" to which his brother replied..."he's always hungry"...ha!  Then one of them said to grandpa...."when I get older, if I have to take down any trees, I hope you are around."

Oh my gosh walker, that didn't take long at all ... glad everything went ok! ... laughing at the A that wanted to still eat and how awesome that one wants grandpa to be around to help cut down trees ... they sound like nice young men!!
