Hi there.....we made it to ND....at hotel and they gave us a room overlooking campus ...in particular stadium and Golden Dome.  Dinner plans did not work out because restaurant we wanted was booked until 9:00..🙁...no thanks, too late.  So, we went to an Irish Pub.  It was good...especially wine...haha.  Storms brewing so we ate and headed back to hotel (walking).  Tomorrow we will go do some exploring...then home.  This place has changed so much over the years!  Both DH and DB are graduates so I've been here a lot.  Funny, both DH and DB were here at same time for one year but did not know each other...now related.

Tootie, hope you enjoyed your dinner...sounded like good plans.  (Anything we don't have to cook is good, eh?) 😂

kittyfan, catching up on rest and laundry since DB has gone home?  And, A/C?  Still a work...or repair in progress?

Walker:  what a lovely visit. Yes I am certain the campus has grown.  Pub sounded like a nice event.  What a nice story. Students at the same time and joined later!  I am thinking it is a large student population. Hopefully weather will be favorable for the next leg.  

Tootie:  hope your dinner was nice.

I talked to brother. He was out and about.  I reminded him that Mothers day was Sunday.  He said no more plants. He would buy her orchids. They would bring them to the condo and then back home. Okay packing the dog and plants along with their things!   

We are expecting weather again mid week.  I saw snow was predicted for Colorado. I am not sure if that is unusual.  

No AC is still working.  I know I just take it day by day.

Ha kittyfan, an orchid and a dog in one car? not so sure that that sounds like a good idea 😉😄 ... I think Colorado can expect some snow in the "spring" but not a whole lot ... good to hear that your A/C is working for now ... if it stops I bet DB (and you) will be ready to rip it out!! 😄😂

Oh wow walker, that must be a good restaurant, sorry you couldn't get it in ... I agree, 9 is too late!! glad you were able to still get a nice dinner ... and wine 🍷... more memories and what a fun story about DH and DB being at ND at the same time!! and now family!!

We had a very nice dinner ... we didn't make reservations because we had planned on going early ... 4pm ... (there were still a lot more people than I expected) ... good food and of course, good company 😉 ... another year in the books for us walker!

We'll have the kids for a little while after school ... and unfortunately they're calling for rain this afternoon, so it might be indoor fun!!

Hi there......home again.....unpacked with lots of laundry to do but it will wait until tomorrow.  I am tired!  Taking a UB and anxious to get back with coffee here in morning...regular routine.

 I feel like I have been gone for a week or longer.  It was raining at ND this morning so we left early....☹️....no campus walk...bummer.   We did stop at bookstore but did not stay long....DH not a big shopper ...ha!   We had the store to ourselves too.  I told a clerk I need to come back without my husband....ha!  He does a quick look-see and done then follows me around...🙄.

Tootie, we must have bumped here earlier and gave same word for G...Grapes......Great minds think alike!

kittyfan, my niece had a couple of beautiful orchid plants at her house.  Not sure I would have luck with them.  Hope DB's wife does.  Maybe he'll bring one to you as well.

Oh traveling. Always good to be home sweet home.  But there is always laundry to do.  

Tootie:  I know the littles enjoy visiting. Outside is nice to burn off energy but I know there are two of you to help with entertainment.

I don't have any news to share. Brother said someone was moving out on my hall.  On Sunday I saw a couple with the. Cart to load up.  I didn't know the lady but she hadn't been here too long.  There is one apartment that is around the corner. The fellas moved to another larger spot.  Just in a matter of months two people have come and gone.  Part of me wishes I knew the rest of the story but on the other hand privacy is golden. I have noticed a shift.  I attend the Sunday services. One lady knew who was ill, who was in hospital etc. This has changed. These items are no longer shared in public. Probably a good thing.  But I am sure the rumor mill is active.

It sounds like there is a lot of activity at SO kittyfan ... moving in and out ... and I like your term "rumor mill" ... I'm sure it is up and running 😉

Welcome home walker! sorry the weather didn't cooperate for your walk around campus ... laughing at your shopping (or not) trip with DH 😄 ... great minds do think alike ... I probably had the news on yesterday or DH was talking while I typed ... 😂

We couldn't get outside with the kids because of our rain ... so they entertained us inside!! ... LS started talking as soon as she hit the front door ... "M is the worst friend to have ... she took my lego piece and wouldn't give it back ... she didn't even say please and that is not nice, and she did it on purpose" ... she was very concerned about it but apparently the girl got a time out and a "frown face" ... walker, you may know about that ... good things being done, they get a "smiley" face sticker on their chart, not so nice things and you get a "frown" face ... those stickers are very important to the kids.

Ok, I'm babbling now ... coffee's ready! pouring and passing. Have a good day!! we're having another rainy and cooler 50 degree day.

Happy Wednesday!  It is so good to be back having coffee with you.  No schedule to meet today....move at my own pace.  I do have a lot of laundry to do plus go to store.  But, for now, enjoying coffee with friends in my lazy-girl chair. 😁👍

Tootie, cute story told by LS....oh so true...stickers for everything...ha!  Interesting how little smile or frown stickers register with kids.  

kittyfan, soon you will be the senior resident at SO with the revolving door there.  Maybe the poor meals and lack of maintenance pushed people out.  Fortunately, you have DB there to step in when needed for you.  Plus, he brings you better food...ha!

No kittyfan? ... hope all is well.

I hope you squeezed in some UB's yesterday in between your laundry and shopping ... always a chore, especially when you were away.

We got the news yesterday that DH needs a hip replacement ... it's scheduled for June 1st and is an outpatient surgery ... I've never heard of this ... surgery, PT and then home, the same day!? boy have things changed! there's a lot of information that we need to look at to get ready for surgery day and after ... 

We'll have another rainy day ... and only 52 degrees!

Happy Thursday!  Bright and sunny here! 👍  Yesterday I got the laundry done but did not go to the store.  After a few days of being in the car, I needed a break from it.  Fortunately, I had some food here to get through the day.

Today.....store for sure!  

Tootie, sorry to hear your DH will have hip replacement surgery coming up in June.  I have heard of one day...in-out...which is probably good.  There are more germs in hospitals.  Outpatient clinics are being used more and more.  He should do very well.  I have heard knee replacement surgery has a harder recovery.  Keep us posted.  

On with day....breakfast....store....lunch...UB!  Later we have a lacrosse game to attend.  I have to get my walk in too.  I enjoyed too much good food over weekend ...😉.
