Good evening 

It seems all are having crazy weather.  Hard to believe May is here.  We were in the 50s today.  Rained all day which we desperately needed.  

Well my AC saga continues about 3 pounding on door.  Maintenance and another AC man. This was a different company than the last time. I was trying to listen to the conversation but they had closed the door!  Bottom line they decided it was a wiring issue. Got it running but I didn't need it today.  If the DX of the last fella is correct that there is a feron leak I will be just a matter of time. I called brother. He didn't answer but called right back.  I brought him up to date. He will be on the case as this goes on.  He said he was being lazy today and was lounging. He was going to the grocery and help me with some documents but I told him to wait. I know he planned to head home tomorrow. Initially was today but weather delayed plans. But being retired plans are flexible. I know when they get home they will stop at grocery before they even go to the house

Walker:  how fun. Pizza delivery!   Yes he would not expect his BIL to deliver pizza. 

I know May day celebrations occur in some areas. I have a recollection of doing something when I was about 3rd grade. Remember crepe paper ribbons around a pole.  Perhaps baskets

Tomorrow I must do laundry.   I considered doing some tonight but couldn't motivate myself.

Oh my gosh walker! what a fun way to make an entrance to a gathering ... pizza delivery guy!! ... and I'm sure you'll have more fun today ... enjoy the party!! 🎂🥳🎉

Geez kittyfan, it sounds like the A/C guys are on a merry-go-round ... round and round you go!! ... why can't they just go out and get you a new unit?? makes no sense to try and keep on fixing it with "band-aid" repairs ... I bet DB will get to the bottom of it.

Another day of rain although the sun is shining right now ... high of 45!!

Happy Saturday!  Derby Day!  We are being lazy this morning so thought I would check in here.

kittyfan, your comment about May Day reminded me of being about same age.  I think we made paper baskets of flowers in school.  We were suppose to hang flowers on an "older person's" door.  A neighborhood friend and I decided we should get real flowers.....maybe I have shared this story.....neither of our yards had any so we went to a yard that had best in neighborhood.  We cut all we wanted...HA!  Then we put them at two "older ladies" homes in our neighborhood.  Funny until neighbor missing flowers came to our houses...not happy.  My friend and I (still long time friends) still laugh about it every May 1st.

Hope the rain passes for you, Tootie.  Enough!  Bring on the May flowers, eh?  And, good luck with yet another A/C fix there, kittyfan.  I'm with Tootie....bring in a new unit!

Well, better get moving....need to get some breakfast..and coffee!

Good evening

Yes Derby day!  I didn't realize it was such a big deal until I worked with a girl.  They were from KY and parties for the Derby were the expected. They came here and it was so not an event!   I do enjoy watching the fashions. But I missed them today.  

Got up this morning and jumped in the shower. Was considering doing some tasks when brother arrives he had been to the grocery for me. Talked about the $$. Put everything away--one of those r

Tasks I don't enjoy. Discussed an Amazon order. Went through the mail.  Talked about taxes. Off he goes to collect his DW and the dog to hit the road. About an hour later a knock on the door.  Brother is back with some store items he forgot. I had told him not to bother. And he was off again.  

He sent me a text to let me know they were home. Missed his exit and had to deal with traffic.  He had a pajama day yesterday but didn't sleep well last night. I am less concerned when he has someone with him.  

He said he will be back in a few weeks. Plan is to spend a few nights at the 🏠.  Water has been fixed so he can do this. He may find it too quiet!   

He bought diesel for the tractor 🚜 and told me how much just to fill the container 

I have been seeing the Eagles in CA. The chicks are getting big. Fluffy I saw that some school kids chose names for them.

Walker:  oh yes the May day story.  I think you shared it but I always enjoy it. I know you are having a lovely family day.  

We had a lovely sunny day here. The rain was welcome and needed. Tootie:  hopefully your weather is more reasonable. Soon it will be time for the ACs to come out.  Grilling is always nice.

I forgot all about the Derby too, kittyfan ... and I know it was mentioned here too 🤦‍♀️ ... how nice that DB can now spend some time at the house ... almost done? ... I know he enjoyed helping out there ... now he can reap the benefits!!

Laughing at your May Day story, walker ... I had one of those neighbors with the best flowers (although I never picked any 😉😄) and she would have been just as "unhappy" ... growing up, she always seemed mad at the world ... hope your DB had a great celebration!!

Wow!! we actually have a sunny day ahead 🤞 high of 54!! (even though we had frost overnight) ... we may be able to grill!!

Happy Sunday!  Some sunshine here today and mid-50's which will be nice.  Off to another busy day soon....

Confirmation is 1:00-3:00 and then a dinner at niece's house.  My niece has outdone herself with all the planning.

I have been eating and drinking since we arrived....oink, oink..🐖.

Yesterday MIL of niece had ladies over for delicious lunch.

MIL is such a nice person.  Her home is beautiful and in same neighborhood as my niece.  Later we all met at country club in neighborhood for another delicious meal ...DB's birthday dinner...more 🐷.  It was fun and also little emotional with some tributes given to him.  I know he was pleased although pretty tired with ongoing move on his mind back at home.  

Today my two nephews will be leaving.  We will say our good-byes later and leave in morning.  DB and SIL leave tomorrow also.  Sure has been nice to be together.

kittyfan, those eaglets are fun to watch grow.  Then comes the suspense of waiting until they fly.

Tootie, hope you get to enjoy another grilled dinner there.  Tomorrow is anniversary 🥂 day....such a coincidence for us.  I found out last night that my niece's parents and her in-laws were married on same day, same year.

Time to get up, get dressed and move on with the day.

We had a nice, but windy day yesterday ... took a ride over to DD's ... she had some pictures that she wanted hung up. Today DH and I will go out to a nice steakhouse for dinner ... weather will be nice ... sunny and 70!! 😎

Thank you and kittyfan for nice greetings.  I woke up this morning to a card from DH...ha...I never thought to bring one.  It sounds like you have a nice dinner planned, Tootie.  Enjoy!  Blessings through the years!

We wrapped up our weekend last night and said our good-byes.  Confirmation was very special....terrific Bishop who really spoke to the young people.  We need more like him.

DH and I will check out of hotel in a little while.  We will head up to the Cleveland area where his parents are buried to visit graves.  (Although from Pittsburgh, they moved there with a job after family was grown....passed away and buried there.)  Then off to ND ....home tomorrow.

On with day....thanks for listening to my adventures..it has been a great weekend.  My niece did such a good job juggling everything. She has a big home and comfortable with a lot of people.  Hated to say our good-byes...hard having family scattered all over.
