Good evening 

I had a long conversation with brother.  I will be attending a church event on Saturday.  I had hoped to skip it but brother said NO!  I think I have finalized my clothing.  DW and I talked about her choices.  

I realized I intended to say DS-enjoy.

I have had a parade of maintenance people. It is an older building with issues but I do think brother made them aware.  I told him today he has an amazing web of contacts which he has developed over the years. 

Tomorrow will be dominos. Chatty cathy will be absent. Brother going to my house to do some more tasks   I know he is anxious to reach the finish line.

walker, how nice! you get to see your DS for the weekend ... tell him to bring the heat back home with him ... 

We had a great time yesterday with BG ... we were able to get outside, we did get a misty rain for just a few minutes but it felt good (we were "racing" in the yard) ... he did mention about us sitting in the front row today and when I told him we might not be able to, he said "then you can sit in the second row!" 😄

No to the kimchi (spicy and fermented Korean dish ... google was my friend) but I do enjoy jalapenos (once and a while, just not too many) ... Have a good day ... pouring and passing.

Happy Friday!  I guess it is officially summer now .... thank heavens for the A/C...hot week ahead here.  

kittyfan, lucky you today....no Chatty Cathy at dominos...

should really be enjoyable!  Church service on Saturday must be quite special if DB won't take no for an answer.

Tootie, sounds like a nice day with BG.  I bet you just shake your head at how fast he is growing up.  Cute...cute...response from him about sitting in front row tonight....go to second...🤣.  Big night ahead for all of you!

Can't wait to hear all about it tomorrow.

Busy weekend ahead here....fun with my "big guy" 😉.  We will go to DD's for dinner tonight.  Tomorrow we will go out to lake for day since other DS and family are there.  Sunday...relax and DS will leave in afternoon.  I should still be able to check in here but, if I am missing, you'll know why.  Have to have my coffee with friends! 😁

Brother just popped in.  He brought me clothes.  I had identified items in my closet but I know these items are lovely.  He is exhausted.  I know he will be happy this event is finished.

Good morning friends ... kittyfan, it sounds like DB is in charge of this event? and it does sound like it is quite the event too! ... and why am I not surprised that he was able to squeeze some time in to shop around for clothes?!! ... maybe after this is all over with he will take a nice long and well deserved UB!! ... (ha!! wishful thinking!!) ...

walker, "full speed ahead" for your weekend!! ... it's nice that your whole family can get together at some point to visit ... 

BG's Graduation was short and sweet ... the teacher gave a "speech" about their year, the kids sang two songs and then they got their "diplomas" ... they looked so cute in their cap and gown ... and then we went to the cafeteria for ice cream!! ... we couldn't sit in the first row or the second but we were in the third row and BG was so excited that he could see us right away as they processed down the aisle ... growing up right before my eyes!! 🥲🥲🥲

Have a good day ... we're in for some high heat from now through Tuesday ... guess it will be indoor days for a while ... pouring and passing.

Happy Saturday!  It is heating up....not yet 7:00AM and it is almost 80!  😳 

Congratulations to BG, Tootie!  Sounds like a cute ceremony...caps and gowns, etc. Glad you got third row so he could see you.  I guess all the kids told their parents to BE UP FRONT...1st or 2nd row.  LS was probably most anxious for the ice cream after.  

kittyfan, can't wait to hear about this big event coming up!

And, he is your personal shopper too.  He does it all!  Amazing!

Well, update here....DS arrived yesterday and we have had a good visit....fun dinner at DD's last night.  But, he will be leaving today....no trip to the lake.  He was suppose to fly from here Sunday for a meeting in Atlanta on Monday.  It was cancelled so he decided, after being gone for a week, he wanted to get home.  I understand plus flight availability was better.  I always say.....short visit better than no visit.

My sister-in-law who lives in California sent me a text last night that she came home and found a brown bear in her pool! 😳. She called police so I have not heard since.  I'll have to call her today.  I have heard these stories before on TV but never someone I know!  Yikes!  She does live in an area near a mountain range so it is not unusual.

Good morning friends ... walker, I guess we're all getting the hot temps now ... how can it be 79 degrees at 6am?? 🥵 high of 94 today!! 

Oh no, a bear in the pool? I'm anxious to hear the aftermath of that story ... sorry plans changed with your DS but am glad you got to enjoy a few days with him!

It's very windy here today too ... our poor plants have been sitting on the patio more than they have been hanging ... we'll have to think about that for next years plants ...

Good Morning Friends!  ☕️🥵🇺🇸...🙏

Happy HOT Sunday!  Summer hibernation!  Near 100 temperatures and heat indexes.  We'll weather the weather, right? 🤞 I have moved my pots in front to shade on porch.  I have one hanging basket in back that is down too.  Trying to keep things watered.  Yesterday was so windy that didn't help either.

DS left and got back home fine....sure enjoy having him here.  

The BEAR...talked to my sister-in-law yesterday..she said it took police an hour to come out...🙄. I guess a bear isn't as important as other emergencies.  By that time the bear decided he was done with his swim and wandered off.  She said this bear has been roaming the neighborhood for quite awhile.  The bear even opened a shed and pulled out some garbage! 😳 She has been told to pour ammonia around garbage areas.  I said maybe around your whole house too!  She needs to sell and move...but, "not my rodeo" 😉.

No other news....👋👋 kittyfan..hope you enjoyed the church event.

Pray for world is right, Tootie....🙏🙏.  

Stay cool....drink that water...just saw we will go to 98 today...average temperatures this time of year..82.  Hope after we get through this hot spell that summer cools down!

Good afternoon

The event yesterday was to honor the pastor on his retirement after 30 years.  It was a lovely moving event. Brother knocked it out of the park.  I have attended via zoom since I moved. I made some contribution to the event but I always tell brother it is from my heart and not for publication. He honored my wishes as we have discussed thiswny times. I actually have never met the pastor in person although we spoke on the phone often.  He unexpectedly lost his son last week.  He was in NY and he arrived here on Friday.  Services were after church today.  

Brother did a lovely job.  He buzzed around 

On the way home he said his leg was cramping his DW and I were in stero about drinking water!   He brought me home. I told him he didn't need to walk me to my door--front door was fine.  He called me later to talk for an hour.  I know he was still wound up!  I saw him on zoom briefly.  I know he still hasn't hit the floor. Hopefully he will have some pajama days.  I know he plans to go to my house.   

I did wear an outfit they brought. I had two lovely choices   brother loves to shop.  He told me he wasn't going with his DW again---ha!!

Yes keeping plants alive in this heat is tough.

Walker:  nice visit.  Always good to be home sweet home.

Good morning friends ... another hot day 🥵 to enjoy some indoor UB's 😄... some school districts are only going half days for the next couple of days ... last day of the year for most is Wednesday ... hopefully you are right walker, after this heat wave, we'll get some cooler summer weather!! ... 

kittyfan, it sounds like DB did a wonderful job with the retirement event for pastor ... glad it turned out so well ... but how sad that he lost his son! ... now, maybe, just maybe, DB will take time for a UB ... even if just for a minute 🤞😄

walker, go figure! Yogi decided he had enough before the police arrived ... does your SIL have to do anything special now to her pool?
