Happy Wednesday!  Foggy start to the day here but sun should peek out later.  

Tootie, I sure understand your bittersweet day...changing times.  Will LS go to daycare full time?  As you said, you live close and you will see them...just different times.  

Speaking of bittersweet, last week when I drove kids to school GS said..."grandma, this is the last time you will drive us to school"...😟 Next year they are both at the high school and he will drive there.  Later I told him I had been thinking about it......"I drove you to preschool, elementary school, middle school and high school....I THINK I SHOULD DRIVE YOU TO COLLEGE!"...😂😂😂 Funny, grandma!

Tonight is first local car show....might go to it...nice night and I get dinner out..👍.  

I have news on showing President in Saudi Arabia...wow, what a production....parade of cars...camels, horses, etc. Everything looks so clean....white and more white!

OK, time to move on....have a nice day....and, I did guess that V, Tootie....HA...lucky guess🤣.  👋👋 kittyfan.

good afternoon

We are. The throes of record breaking temps. Yesterday was miserable. I stepped out to go to the storage and grab a few items. It was stifling. Today is hot but cooler 

Had a long conversation with brother last night. He is better but not full speed. He is flying in for a brief trip.  Planned.  He will make a visit to the house. Cameras have been down so I can't check on things. I tried to get a follow up Drs apt for Monday. Booked.  Not critical so will work around his schedule.  

I share everything about life at SO. Neither of us are fond of the director.  When I first visited and she was the first person I had contact with she reminded me of our ex boss. And not in a good way. We often refer to her by that name.  Well one of my issues is communication. We should have been informed about the water situation.  After I talked with brother I went to check the mail.  I almost missed the notice water would be off this morning. 

Oh my. The kids are growing up!   It seems like yesterday that we were anticipating arrivals.  And Walker's grands.

Oh the appliance issues. Hard to know which way to go.  Yes I agree the simple controls. And the $$$ of goods and services. Quick delivery.

Good morning friends ... kittyfan, it sounds like you may be in for a very warm summer ... glad to hear that DB is feeling a bit better ... I agree!! you should have been notified about your water situation, especially being without it for so long!!

walker, cute story about driving your grandkids ... why should grandma stop driving just because they are in college? 😉😄😂 ... I saw the pics of Saudi Arabia too ... and Qatar last night ... beautiful and quite the production is right!! ... LS will only be going to daycare 2 days a week ... DIL will always work two weekdays and one weekend day ... I wouldn't want that kind of schedule but that's just me ... she is still very excited about it!! ... oh, the starting to the car shows!! another sign of Spring/Summer ... good luck with your new washer.

Yesterday was a fun day with LS ... we were able to spend a lot of the day outside ... she was excited to see my (as she calls them) "jingles" (wind chimes) out in the back garden ...

We'll have a warm 78 degree day with a "slight chance" of rain this afternoon ... no plans for today ... Have a good day ... pouring and passing.

Happy Thursday!  Another foggy morning....then getting very warm...🥵...maybe storms later.  Looks like your hot temperatures are moving north, kittyfan.

Washer day....👏.  I was thinking about you mentioning your Amana is 6 years old, Tootie...hopefully, it will serve you well for many more years.  I used to buy Kenmore washers and dryers for their reliability....last washer went about 18 years.  Times have changed and now it is....get it out the door faster...quality lacking.  Counting on a better

Speaking of disappointments...car show last night...beautiful night, dinner good but show of cars not as good as it used to be.  Oh well, nice night to be out and walk around.  Maybe it will get better as summer goes on.  I think more car shows have started up in different communities so owners can pick and choose where to go.

Glad you had a fun day with LS yesterday, Tootie.  I chuckled about the "jingles"....cute.

kittyfan, guess all you can hope for is SO director to leave.

I agree about communications.....good communications can help avoid problems.  No excuse for not being better informed especially about the water situation.

Good afternoon

Today was my housekeeping day.  We finally have settled into a routine. Third change. She finished and left.  Then a loud knock at door.  Open nemmdoor to find two fellas with bucket andladdet.  Needed to change our sprinkler system. They were working in the hall yesterday.  We were not informed they needed access.  They were very polite and asked if they could access the bedtoom-- of course.  Brother put a lock on the bedroom closet.  Too much personal information .  I have a new neighbor in the courtyard. Put up a dog fence. Definitely not a neat job.  I wasn't here when brother did mine but I know when measured multiple times and did a neat concise job.  This one was huge and rounded out.  Just my opinion.  I was here when we were chastised about keeping our patio neat.  My next door neighbor has stuff everywhere. Off my soap box.  

Oh nurses work so hard. I can't imagine that schedule.  Oh the car show. It is early but perhaps other opportunities.  

It's been cooler today.  But still too early.

Good morning friends ... we had a terrible thunder and lightning storm a couple of hours ago ... heavy winds and rains coming from every which way ...

kittyfan, it's too bad that the director doesn't have better communication with you ... it would be nice to know that something has to be changed/fixed ... it sounds like someone new should be brought in ... DB?? 😄😂 ... SO would be in "tip-top" shape!

walker, I hope that your washer was delivered without any issues ... and did you try it out yet?? ... glad you had a good time despite the fact that there weren't many cars ...

Supposedly the rain is over and we should have a sunny 73 degree day ... I have to make a grocery run and then do some laundry ...

Good Morning Friends!  ☕️🌤️🇺🇸

Happy Friday!  It is a beautiful morning here.  You must have had the storm that rolled through our area last night, Tootie.  In late afternoon, we had high winds and expected storm....then got tornado watch.  I was running around taking care of some flower pots.  It amounted to very little by us....some rain and done.  Other areas had it worse I guess.

I laughed about your suggestion, Tootie, that SO should have DB as director! 👍 Good idea, kittyfan?  One more thing for him to do...ha.

The washer was delivered yesterday....impressed with service..professional and efficient.  That appliance store gets my business from now on....good communications too. I ran one load....all good....more today.

We are heading out to lake house this afternoon.  DS and 3 A's will be there.  DIL has a graduation to attend for niece out of town.  It is garage sale weekend and boys are going to be selling "stuff"...ha!  Should be fun.  
I won't be on here tomorrow but back Sunday afternoon to check in and report on sales 😂.

Busy day....need to get "on my horse".  Have a good weekend.

Thank you, Tootie!  Always fun with the 3A's...can't wait to see their "stuff".  They have a lawn mowing business and from what DIL says....they have too much equipment...we'll see....stay tuned.  Forgot to say....I have been moving/storing my childhood bicycle ...(my first big bike....still remember my dad bringing it home).....I don't ride it anymore so need to get rid of it😢...DS taking it out.

Vintage 1950's bike....??...might be worth something...🤷‍♀️.

Good evening

Oh I do miss the thrift store.  Loved seeing all the stuff.  But my path took a different direction.  Of the bicycle is definitely a vintage item.  What fun 

Today was dominos.  Brother and his DW hosted at the condo.  She was at home but saw them on the ring and told them to go in.  She called to tell everyone to have a good time.  Brother out did himself. Everything was so nice and color coordinated. They had been to the other condo but the first time at this one.   He was expecting the repair person so he was there for a bit.  He had heard my tales and it was nice for him to see the real deal.  He left to run errands. HisvDW called and we chatted. Then brother came back.  We talked about the cast of characters. Talked about my house and this and that.  Took me home and said he was going to take his meds and turn in.    Heading to my house early on the morning.   

I know he has a Drs apt on Monday.  I need to do labs and he have a few things to do.  I think he flys back on Tuesday. I knew it would be quick.  He had planned on this trip.  I always enjoy his visits but his pace is tiring.
