AN AMERICAN chosen Pope!  WOW!  Wonderful choice...I think...or it seems.  And, he has connections to Chicago too.  I think this is a good thing for the church and world.

I talked with brother. He is still on the mend. I told him he has worn himself out and his body said STO!P!!

Of course he had a list of things he needed to address.  

Although neither of us are Catholic we discussed the pope and he said he was moved by the selection.

I am heading to bed. I need to check the mail room for some Amazon orders. But perhaps a late night delivery!  If not I will check tomorrow

Good morning friends ... I woke up a little earlier than usual and couldn't go back to sleep ... extra UB's today 😃

kittyfan, I hope DB starts feeling like himself again ... he needs to stop and take some of those UB's once in a while! ... I haven't watched The Masked Singer in years but always liked to see their costumes.

walker, enjoy your time with your grandkids ... I had to laugh at DG's curfew being cut short for grandma 😄... does he have his license too?

DS/DIL are home from Disney ... they had a great time ... haven't seen the kids yet to hear the stories but I'll see them sometime over the weekend.

Wow, that didn't take long to select a new Pope! ... what a surprise to have an American Pope ... I think he will serve well.

We may see a little sun today! it hasn't really been around lately ... but this weekend is supposed to be super sunny and a lot warmer!!

Happy Friday!  Bright, sunny morning but chilly....about 40...but warming up!

One night down here.....all good...GS is up...GD needs to get up soon.  They feed themselves, get ready for school and out the door we go...Grandma's Uber Service.  Then I will go home.  Later, pick up GD and GS will walk home.

GS does have his driver's license...😬.  So, he will go out with friends tonight but not out late!!!  Next year he can drive to school ...allowed for Juniors and Seniors.

Tootie, glad the family had another fun trip to Disney.  The kids are at such a fun age for it.   My DS told me he and DIL really enjoy Disney even more now that they don't have to watch kids all the time...ha!  In fact that is where DIL wants to spend Mother's Day.  They have yearly passes so come and go as they want.

Get well wishes for DB, kittyfan, and slow down too....rest that body!  I know you try to tell him the same thing.

I do hope all goes well for our new Pope.  He has many good qualifications.  His job is secure...only removed by God.  😊

I had to call brother this morning got a call from vendor on my house.  I am out of the equation.  He sounded a bit better. Called me back several times to chat

  Said he had some hallucinations.  Thought his DW gave him a banana and another time she was talking to the son.  I told him he had been pushing himself and his body said stop. Tomorrow has quests coming and being the host he is will cook a lovely meal.  He said he was married for a year before he knew his DW could cook!   He learned from his grandmother. She told him he needed these skills as he may not marry.  His mom was a nurse and didn't cook.  He said they have been married 47;years. We met his first month on the job when I was sent to work with him.  We worked for different supervisors. Little did I know how things would unfold. 

Tootie:  big adventure tales to come.

Walker:  duties will be over. I know that your presence was comforting to the parents.

walker, oh wow! your GS will be "big kid on the campus" next year driving to school 😉😄 ... that was always a big thing at our school although I could never take advantage of it ... we only had one car ... so I walked the 8 blocks to school!! 😏

This morning we're meeting DD for breakfast ... just because 😃 ... and it looks like we are going to have a nice sunny 62 degree day!! 😎 Have a good day ... pouring and passing.

Good Morning Friends!  ☕️☀️🇺🇸

Happy Saturday!  Off-Duty!  😁 Well, sort of...until parents get home about noon.  I told kids I would be up and out early.  They like to sleep in so why sit and twiddle my thumbs!?  I quietly packed up and tip-toed out.  I'm only a mile away which is really nice.  I will go back about 10:00.

GD wants to have a friend over to swim ....pool heated but kids know...no friends over without adult present.  Plus, they don't know code for opening pool.  😉

DH had coffee ready when I got here....👏😊.  On with day...I love being with kids...young adults...so enjoyable. GS was home on time last night!  Grandma was in bed soon after...ha!

Tootie, I walked to school too.  Fortunately, GS is close enough to walk if "he has to"...ha!  He said he has purchased his pass for next year.  So many kids drive today...amazing!!!  Cars...💰...Insurance 💰💰...🤷‍♀️...not my rodeo...😉 (love that one, kittyfan).

I hope DB slows himself down, kittyfan.  Ha...fat chance!

Hallucinations are scary.  Dehydration too?  He had a smart grandmother...teaching him good skills.  Hindsight, I wish I had taught my boys more...they do ok to survive if needed..😂.

Enjoy your breakfast out with DD, Tootie.  Soon you will hear all the Disney stories from BG and LS.

Good evening

We had a brief thunderstorm roll thru. 

Brother always has Gatorade and water.  He drinks very few soft drinks.   When we are out and about he always has some in my side. 

He said he was feeling better. Told me about the birds insisting on building their nest on the ceiling fan on the deck.  

Oh it won't be long and your grand mother duties won't be needed. Nice to have that special memory.

Oh Happy Moms Day ladies. 

Yes insurance for teens. The three As must have big bills!

Thank you both for nice greetings dear friends!  I wish you both a very happy day!  Enjoy rest...and love...even from those pups, kittyfan. 😊 

DD invited us over for a simple dinner but both her MIL and I declined.  It is her Mother's Day too....I/we said...do what you want for the day without thinking of preparing for dinner..even simple.  She deserves a day to think of herself.  My gift...taking care of the kids...HA...my pleasure.
Same for my DIL.  Mother's Day is any day we can be together.   I will enjoy a quiet day and DH will grill dinner.

Some of my best memories were when kids were little amd made those cute gifts in school.  Memories, memories...kind of a day of mixed emotions...days gone by, mothers who have passed, etc.  

Tootie, sounds like a nice day for you....breakfast by DH and time with family later...kids will be cute and excited about trip to Disney.  Ask what their favorite thing was or favorite ride.  I loved Small, Small World...parade at night is pretty cool too....so much to enjoy there.
