good evening

Just popping in. Yesterday at lunch EMas had to be called. I exited as quickly as I could. I understand it was not serious. Thank goodness.

Today I planned to do laundry. Brother called and we had a long conversation.  Then his dear wife called and we had a conversation on another matter.

I got another doggie DNA for Jake. I n my circle I don't know anyone who has done this but I know many others who have. I have an idea will see if I am right.

I have been confused all week as to what day of the week it is!  Next week will be more confusion.

Oh ladies facing changing doctors. I am walking this path. Partly by choice and by necessity.  Tough decisions.

I got a sweet text from a lady at book club.  She lost her beloved DH five years ago.  She reconnected with a man they both knew. He was also widowed. Well in a Hallmark movie they reconnevted and married!   I wish them the very best. She is a lovely lady.  That would not be on my radar but for her it is very sweet.

Good morning ~

walker, I think I got the messed up my system disease - eating too much wonderful food, very tired, and  not hungry the next day.  Add that to the Sciatica and I am a mess😆 DD made a chicken vegetable soup - in her new crock pot - last night for dinner - a perfect choice!  I actually slept until 12:45am with no trips to the bathroom!!  Don't know if I can handle this - unfamiliar occurance to this body!  

Tootie, I used to take down my Christmas decorations  New Years Day too.  Fun to put them up, but not so much taking them down and packing them away!  I would rather do laundry🤣

kittyfan, glad you had nice converstations with your brother and his wife.  they are lovely people.🌷 You are not the only one confused with what day it is - I am having the same problem and I think walker is familiar with the as well.  It seems to come and go. Thank you for the extra hugs💝 SCC ladies are the best!

I know exactly what you mean about not knowing what day it is as they seem to just run into one another and get lost in the middle 😉 ...

walker, hope you are feeling better too ... you had so much going on that I think you ran your body down ... party of 2 here for NY's as well ... probably won't even make it to see the ball drop (and you know what? it will still be a New Year when I wake up ... ) 😂😂 ... you were right!! "I THINK I will do it ANOTHER DAY" ... decorations are still up!!

We've been in a stretch of rainy but mild weather ... global warning has really changed things up!! not complaining though ... Have a good day ... pouring and passing.

Happy Friday!  My tree is still up so thought I would keep emoji up for now.  I should have everything packed up by tomorrow...🤞.  I used to do it all on New Year's Day too...done in one day!  Older and slower now...ha!  I've added more things over the years too.  Now trying to thin it out again....🥴....round and round we go.

cookie, glad you got some good sleep.  Maybe today will be a really good day! 

kittyfan, that was a touching story about your friend from book club.  I have heard nice stories like that before.  Guess you never know.....I always say one marriage is enough for me but never say never, eh?  😆

We have had wet weather too, Tootie....good for putting away Christmas decorations....😉...😂.  Keep thinking...maybe in 2024?

walker, I can say from experience that it is really hard to thin out Christmas decorations ... remember it took me years to finally get rid of my village ... it's a slow process (I still want to go through my two bigger totes that I have left and get rid of things I did not put out this year) ... but then I always end up saying "I'll do it next year!" 🤷‍♀️ it's one big vicious circle 😵

Happy Saturday....all day! 😁  Foggy here but should lift..might see snow flurries tomorrow.  Overall, still very mild for this time of the year.

Tootie, I do remember when you got rid of your Christmas village....it is a long process.  I went through that yesterday as I took ornaments off tree.  I told myself....get rid of some....did I? No!  I packed them up saying...maybe next year...think I need to give kids their ornaments back at beginning of season for their own trees.  Round and round we go...   I "might" have everything packed up and put away today.   For sure before 2024.

Another day before new year begins!!  🥳🎉🥂😴

We will start day celebrating SIL's birthday tomorrow out to breakfast.  Later I will fix a fondue dinner for two here.

We were engaged 50 years ago on NYEve.  Big anniversary in 2024!  Can Lucy and Desi do it? 🤣

Hello friends ... well, something sparked me and Christmas is down until next year ... I started gathering things and just kept going ... I managed to organize my two totes, the bottom one for "maybe I'll use these next year" and the top one for those that I do use ... I have to sort through my ornaments too, walker, but for now "I'll do that next year!" 😂😂🤷‍♀️

walker, it sounds like you'll have another fun weekend with family and food ... 50 years? what a blessing!! Lucy and Desi will keep on cruising ...

👏👏👏👏👏 Tootie!  You did it! Sounds like you are organized for next Christmas. 👍  Feels good doesn't it?  I finished mine as well....all packed and stored!  Yippee!  
THEN I noticed two small holly with berry type decorative pieces I put around my dining room chandelier...🤷‍♀️...oh well, easy to tuck in a drawer til next year.

Time for my medicine and happy hour!  Tomorrow I will get out things I had to put away during Christmas. Then house will be back to normal.   Ran out of steam for today so it is a mañana, mañana project.  

Breakfast out was cancelled for tomorrow ...SIL has laryngitis and cold starting.  I said more important that he get some rest as they usually have friends/families over for NYEve and hate to cancel it.  We can go out anytime.

Yes, 50th will be a big deal but not sure yet how we will celebrate it.  I would like to go back to Michigan where we were married....go to Mass there and stay at hotel where we had our reception.  I'm sentimental....not sure Desi cares about driving over....we'll see.

walker,  you finished packing and storing your Christmas decorations - except for the holly berries.  A drawer  comes in handy!  There's always tomorrow.....  Sorry your DH is not feeling up to par and breakfast out was cancelled.  Congratulations on your 50th!
