walker, your 50th plan sounds like fun ... sorry your SIL isn't feeling well but like you said, you can always celebrate another day ... I still have my lingering cough and it is so annoying ... enjoy your fondue dinner ... the worse part of Christmas (for me) is putting the decorations away and then hauling (back) out the everyday ones ... ugh!! round and round we go!

Happy Sunday!  Happy New Year's Eve!  Another year rolls around....keep smiling everyone!  Enjoy a peaceful evening...🥳....or 😴.  We "might" watch ball drop in NYC...if not, we will greet 2024 in the morning....feeling good....ha!  I remember many years of partying and starting new year with hangover or verrrry tired.  Those days are fun memories with friends and long gone.  I enjoy the quieter evenings now.

No news so I think I will end the year without babbling! 😂

Have a good day!  Make any resolutions today and forget by tomorrow...haha.  See you later or next year...😉.

Good afternoon. New Year's Eve. 

I have a friend who has a tradition.  She buries money and retrieves it the next day. Donate to charity. Says she received unexpected monies when her dog had a vet bill.

I think I will do this. I have done it for a few years. Just for fun.

I have to put away Christmas. Have been on a new $$$ med. Some side effects I am dealing with.  

NYE for me will be attending an event here at Shady Oaks. 6:30!  I understand party hats and noise makers. Doggies not affected by fireworks. Not sure if there will be any. At home will be lots. 

Oh how sweet znYE engagement!!!  Returning to Michigan would be special.

My across the courtyard neighbor said he had talked with the dogs last night. I suspected this was the case. I hear Jakes low bark. Holly barks from the bedroom. Silly girl finally went out to see what was happening. 

The doggies love the PT.  When she comes I open the door and they rush out to greet her. I give them a trust to occupy them.  My drama queen starts whining from the bedroom. She was concerned she couldn't get off the bed. I assured her she was only being the drama queen she is.

Tomorrow's menu here included corned beef and black eyed peas. Being in the south black eyed peas are popular. Good luck tradition.

Did anyone see the ball drop?  I was awake at midnight but too lazy and tired to watch.  No celebrations here, just putting Christmas decorations and other stuff away for next year.  

walker, I do remember the many days of partying and enjoying the new year with a hangover.  Those were the days - not anymore- way too old and tired for that, but the memories are still there.  

kittyfan, your friends tradition sounds like a good one.  Never thought or heard of that. It would be fun to start a tradtion like this with kids. Good luck with your new med$$.  Here's to a healthy New Year!

kittyfan, how was the party at SO?  Hope you get used to new meds.  And, let us know when you fall into big 💰 too.  I have not heard that about burying money.

Quick hello again.....this morning I watched the Rose Bowl parade and thought of you, cookie.  I know you were from that area.  Did you go to watch the parade often?  I have always wanted to go.  DH's brother and his ex (still friend of mine) live there.  Ex-SIL says....you need to come out for it!  Hmmm?  An idea....we'll see.

January 1st was just another day here.  No special plans - fine with me.  walker, yes I was born and raised in Pasadena and lived behind the Wrigley House or Tournament House as it is now. Lived near the steepest hill in Pasadena.  Memories of climbing up the hill to see the Parade in person.  Couldn't do that again if I wanted to!🤔😄 Things have changed so much since I lived there. Oh the good old days...,,,,,

Good morning friends ... walker, glad you enjoyed your fondue dinner ... and I forgot all about the parade! that would be so fun to see in person ... put that on your bucket list 😊

DD/SO were going to come over for dinner yesterday ... DH didn't feel that great (thought he was getting a cold or caught what I have ...) so he took a Covid test and tested POSITIVE!! 😳 ... the doctor ordered him pills (can't think of the name) and I have to get those this morning. (pharmacy wasn't opened yesterday!) so far his symptoms are very mild ... now I have to tread around away from him (if you will) because I don't want to get it!! (I tested negative) we're both wearing masks ... needless to say dinner was cancelled.
