Good morning ~

walker - love the idea for a little tree for the kids.  I tried that a few times, but it was not fun picking up everything that got misplaced😃 on the furniture, floor and anywhere else besides the tree.  Fun for them though.  

Tootie - laughing at your jury is out 😃😃 Good luck with your decorating.  DD got most things done yesterday and it looks very nice.  She had SIL string up purple lights on the house.  Very different and pretty.  

Slept in until 3am!  Still tired and feeling out of sorts.  I am leery of even getting out to go to the car.  Just don't feel right so I will stop babbling - Have a Great day!

walker, how did the decorating go?? laughed at you being a control freak 😂 ... but I guess the decorating has to meet your approval 😉

The tree is up but I don't put the ornaments on right away until (as I say) the tree "blooms" ... I put up my door and window decorations ... I have big snowflakes in the top part of the windows and after an hour or so went back and repositioned them because I didn't like the way they looked 😊😂 ... I still have some more indoor decorations to get out.

kittyfan, does ShadyOaks have any decorations/tree up yet?

Happy Sunday!  Winter is here....or having a sample of it today.....snowing now but not expecting too much.

I liked your M and message to cookie, Tootie.  Sure hope you start feeling better, cookie.  All we want for Christmas is cookie to feel better!  (and everyone to be well..) 🤗

Well, decorating has begun.....tree is up and decorated.  Got a late start and that takes awhile...done and pretty.  The nativity is out as well and a couple of wreaths hung.

Then I lost steam...haha.  Hopefully, I'll get a lot more done today.  Everything out this year!  Crazy lady here!  So far Desi is cooperating...😆.  

Tootie, I had to laugh about repositioning the snowflakes in window.  I do the same moving things.

How are you and the pups doing, kittyfan?  PT helping you feel better/stronger?  You won't have to decorate for Christmas but watch others work and you can enjoy it.👍

Hello friends ... I'm tired! ... I put most of my Christmas decorations up today ... I have a small box of smaller pieces that I have to decide on yet ... outside is almost done ... DH has finally given in to having our gutters cleaned by a company (no more climbing the ladder) and they're due to come tomorrow ... then, I can get the rest of my outdoor decorations out ...

walker, how did you do with the rest of your decorating? at least your tree is done and you can "putter" along with the rest.

its starting to look a lot like Christmas.  I am looking for some small festive Christmas decor.  We have new doors and we aren't allowed to put anything on the door. Not even a hanger. I will come up with something or ask my personal shopper. 

At dinner last night I was asked why I was sentenced to Shady Oaks. It was actually my decision at the urging of brother (although I didn't know at the time how influential) and another friend.   I talked with him this evening. We talked about various topics. Said if I was unhappy here we would move. Thought is overwhelming!  

I do feel secure here. Quiet on my hall.  Went to laundry room and did my chores. I know if he had concerns he would have the truck pulling up!  

I attend his church on zoom.  He was on zoom doing the prayer. Part was giving thanks for our pets. I mentioned it to him. He reminded me in the Episcopal church they bless the animals. I had taken Fred to be blessed.   He told me about his sons dog.  When the oldest GS was born he would sleep under the crib. When he stirred the dog would be up on duty!  

Lunch today was very good. The new chef is trying new ideas. I appreciate it. Today was a chicken dish that was very tasty and the veggie was cauliflower which included purple. Lovely presentation. One of my table mates cannot eat tomatoes so I take her tomatoes and give her my cucumbers. 

We have a new resident. Full of himself.  One day sat down.  Asked my name. Y

Told me his. Then asked my age!!!!  Really!!!!

Well two other ladies joined. One started out being interested in his constant diatribe. I could see her interest waned. She told him to eat before his dinner got cold.  My opportunity to exit.  Last night a table mate included a real sour puss. Poor pitiful pearl. Well she stops another lady to tell her about this interesting fella. I looked at Cynthia and rolled my eyes. I knew she had the misfortune of his non stop talk complete with waving his arms. Has a booming voice so the entire dining room is subject!  She told me not to laugh!  

Need to do my pt homework.  It's an AP on my phone so it tracks!!!

kittyfan, glad to hear your meals are improving with the new chef and his beautiful presentations.  Sounds like he knows what he is doing!  Another chatty Cathy - Cynthia?  Another sourpuss and a booming loud non stop talker full of himself😏 Oh joy😞 I guess they are everywhere.  Lucky your brother is such a great guy!

walker,  sounds like you have everything just about done except for the last minute changes😊 

Tootie, you have gotten a good grip on the decorations and ready for the repositioning.  I think that is pretty universal.  I used to do it as well. Now for the tree decorations......

I think I actually have Sciatica as the back of my thigh hurts and it is hard to bend over and do things.  I am not ready to go out to the car yet.  I walk the length of the house back and fortth when 4 of the dogs are crated. The other two know enough to stay behind me.  Keep moving as much as I can.  We will be 55 today.  Am I in the Northern states???  Have a great day!

Good morning friends ... kittyfan, more characters for you to write about ... your book is getting thicker and thicker 😁 ... our church (catholic) does the Blessing of the Pets on the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi (October 4th) ... years ago when the kids were little they brought our guinea pig to be be blessed ... good luck with your PT, I guess there's no slacking off because they have you tracked 😊

cookie, ugh! sciatica is brutal but I am glad that you are able to get up and move around through the pain ... (that's a good thing) ... SCC Strong!! 💪 ... your temps do sound like you are in Northern Country ...

Happy Monday!  Brrrrr.....23 degrees now going to a high of 27 today!  Sure is hard to adjust to the cold.  But, adjust we must...🥴.  55 sounds good to me, cookie...haha.

Sorry about the sciatica problem, cookie.  It is good though that you can keep moving.  Take your time...each day you may feel a little stronger.  

kittyfan, the adventures....and characters...continue at Shady Oaks.  Hope it works out for you there because moving and starting over would not be easy either.  (Oh...wait...forgot...you pick the place and in blink of an eye your brother will have you moved!)  My biggest concern would be having your pets.  Some places may not accept them.  Well, getting ahead of myself here...sorry.

One day at a time...and more chapters in your book.

I have more decorating to finish today too, Tootie.  Most everything is out somewhere.  Then I walk around and change things..😅.  We have not done outside yet...but, do less every year.  Waiting for weather to warm up a bit..maybe mid-week.

 I laughed about taking the Guinea pig for a blessing...cute...that's a pet!  Never took our dogs for it.  Interesting that the Episcopal Church does that as well.

I never knew another church did it too.

Argh:  having printer issues,  Brother is due back in town late this week,  I did a test sheet.  shows connected but wont print.  

Cynthia is nice.  Quite a bit younger.  She has a speech impediment but I can usually uderstand/intrepret.  She has Decided to become more social.  seatimg is not assigned so you never know.  Sally sourpuss is fairly new  I knew way too much medical information in five minutes than was necessary.  I don t share.  Since brother has my POA and is my emergency contact he is very aware of my medical.  We worked together in rehab so he is an asset to me with his background knowledge and his insider knowledge.  

Cool here but you Northern ladies are cold,  Jake and Hollyhock are buttowed under blankets.  

Went to breakfast this morning  Quiche was on the menu.  Thought about thr ladies.

Trying to organize some information for brother.  Wil get back to task.
