kittyfan, you are so right!  It is way too hot and cool weather will be welcomed whole heartedly!  Strange about the clerk not recognizing your honestty.  I would think they would be very appreciative.  Makes me wonder if it the clerk has overlooked other things?😞  I agree, how many new grocery storees do we need?  They are massive and ll over.

walker, laughed at your scissors in the hands of a mad woman🤣 until she got into a major snit all night and wasn't pleasant so no haircut for me - A stroke of luck? 😊😒 and misery for all of us.   Next week maybe.  

Tootie, sorry for the Mass mess.  Hope you can get the time you want.  Are all the Dioceses changing things?  I know nothing about these things.  It must be hard on everyone.  

No news here.  The weatherman predicted lower temps- 97???  Believe it when I feel it.  A better day today! 💪🤞🤞

Good morning friends ... oh cookie! you're better off steering clear and waiting it out for your haircut ... headbands and braids may become your friend 😁 ... there are about 200 parishes within the Diocese of Buffalo that are being affected by this change ... there are not a lot of priests anymore so the Diocese has grouped 5-6 parishes to be one (but are keeping each Church opened) ... priests now have to travel to a different church each week to say Mass ... I can clearly see that some of the Churches may end of closing.

kittyfan, I don't like when a store remodels ... now you have to start all over to remember where everything is ... and when you finally do ... they'll do it again!

walker, yes, I always check my receipt ... but I'm one of those that does it before I leave the store (I find a spot where I won't be in anyones way 😉😏) and if something is wrong I go right over to customer service and the problem is always taken care of ... and I do go back too if I didn't get charged for something ... DH always tells the story of when he got his first car and went to a store to get some things for it ... one were his windshield wipers ... he got out to the parking lot and realized they didn't charge him for them ... he went back in to tell them and he said they looked at him like he had three heads!! ... but it was the right thing to do ... I guess not many people would do that.

We were able to get outside yesterday so the kids played in the yard ... our LS is a klutz and is forever tripping/falling ... she was running through the yard towards our shed (which is on a cement pad) and tripped ... she went head first and smashed her head into the shed!! 😲😳 ... she didn't cry and was more concerned that her hands got dirty but ended up with a big goose egg on her forehead ... we iced it (as best we could) and she seemed to be ok ... I know DIL will watch her for any complications ...

Ooops!! I have really babbled this morning ...

We'll have a cloudy 80 degree day ... Have a good day ... pouring and passing.

Happy Tuesday!  Coffee time with friends here! Hope you all have a good day.  I will be meeting a couple of friends for lunch later.

cookie, lay low....stay out of the path off DD...😆.  While waiting for your haircut, you can try new styles....hey...you might try pigtails and feel like a kid again....🤣.

Close call for LS yesterday, Tootie!  Thank heavens she did not cut her head.  Too bad about churches in your area.  I hear of some closings of churches and schools in the downtown Chicago area....not so much here (north of city). You are right about shortage of priests so who knows what will come.

Guess we all have those moments of trying to do right thing.....kittyfan, stamps, Tootie's DH car wipers and that was awhile ago when you would think people were more honest.  Not today....attitudes (and honesty) have sure changed. Honesty is always the best policy!!!  We all learned that a long time ago!   I am going to start taking a moment before leaving store too, Tootie, to check my receipt.  

Watching that storm approaching FL .... friends and family there.  Think DS will get the rain but coast more serious.
HEAT....FIRES....STORMS....FLOODS....emergency responders working overtime....and organizations that send aid....God Bless them all!  

Easy to babble when enjoying time with friends but guess I'll move along.......have a nice day.

Good evening. A bit more temperte here today. Still hot though.

I think many didn't return to physical church after Covid. I know of a church that went from two services to one. I know many churches don't have the younger doing tasks.

Yes, kittyfan it was sure nice to be only double digits yesterday.  A nice break and today should be the same - 98.  We even had a breeze in the afternoon.  Hope you, Jake and Hollly are doing well and staying cool.

Tootie, what a scare for LS - funny and cute that she was only concerned about dirty hands.  Glad she survived with only a big Goose Egg on her forehead😊. Hope there are no after affects🤞 She is a little trooper.🎀  

 walker, I did stay away from the Mad Women with Scissors and now I am looking even more scraggly but alive😄  Hope your friends and family are okay in Florida.  Florida seems to have one of everything - fires, storms and floods!!!  Good thoughts and wishes for them.  🙏🤞

We'll only be 66 today but then the temps go back up to the 80's through next week ... I always remember when my kids went back to school in September the weather always got really hot ... can you believe that in two days it will be September?? yikes!!

Happy Wednesday!  Cool here....definitely feeling like Fall.  Glad to hear TX is slowly cooling off...double-digits is a start! 

I had trouble signing on this morning....not sure if it is problem at Q end or mine.  Oh well.....I made it! I use my IPad a lot and wonder if I should be replacing it.

Speaking of "cooling off",  hope your DD cools off so you can get your haircut, cookie.  Pretend you are 5 years old again....grab your scissors and start cutting. 🤣 😱 Talk about scraggly!  haha....funny comment....yes, glad for "alive".

Lunch yesterday was fun and good....eating out is always fun....have someone serve me!  In fact, I'm meeting my DD at same restaurant tomorrow.  DD wants to meet and I said  my friends both had a salad that looked good.  I want to try it so let's meet there.  

Waiting to hear from DS in FL on storm.  I think he is getting wind and rain....on fringe.  (update...he sent text...doing ok there.still have power)
