kittyfan, thank you for the jellybeans and thank you walker for leaving some for the rest of us ( 1 for each of us 🤣🤣) You made a wise decision to be done with supplying the batting for the whole group.  I have heard of weighted blankets, but no way would I use one!!! 

walker, glad you got to have dinner with your DD and family leaving today for the rest of the family.  Things seem to work out.

Tootie, hope you have a good time with the little ones today.  Easter is a special day.  More sunshine your way - we will enjoy 85 today.  

SIL's parents are coming up for dinner this afternoon.  I haven't seen them in a long time.  I love his mom, she is such a sweet one!  DD is making Lamb - oh boy!😋😋 and what we call Heart Attack Potatoes - which are creamy,cheesy scalloped potatoes, Asparagus and Yams.  Knowing SIL's mom, she will bring lots of deserts! 😋😋😋

Good morning friends ... no Easter Bonnets here, instead it will be winter hats and mittens!! we have snow (covering the cars and grass) and our high for today is 44 ... but, the sun is supposed to shine!! cookie, maybe yours will give it an extra boost!!

cookie, thanks for the cute Easter greeting ... your menu sounds good except for the lamb (can't bring myself to try it!) we're having ham with cheesy potatoes and corn ...

kittyfan, how nice of you to leave us jellybeans ... about the batting; you can only do so much before it's time for others to chip in and it sounds like you have done your share and more!! ...

walker, the Stations of the Cross sounds really nice and I hope you enjoy today's Mass ... I'm still going to Church of the Couch ... glad you were able to have dinner with your DD and family and have a good breakfast.

 Sounds like a yummy dinner at your house, cookie.  I love lamb but cannot bring myself to fix it or eat it anymore.  Those little lambs are so cute.  I used to love having it with mint jelly.  If I went to someone's house and lamb was for dinner, I would eat it and enjoy every bite. 😋

My dinner last night was like yours today, Tootie...ham, potatoes, corn, salad,  etc.  I fix cheesy potatoes quite often but last night went with mashed.  Then I fixed that recipe....mine called Spoon Bread....corn bread with butter, sour cream, can regular corn and can of cream-style corn.  All turned out good!  Also, fixed my "semi-homemade" dessert....brownie bites...frosting and decorations on top ....wanted to add my favorite jelly beans but ended up with pastel M&M's....looked cute and added pink bunny Peeps on tray too. I would love to fix pie or cake but half the time no one wants much dessert after dinner! 

Going to the early Mass this morning worked out well.  It was not over crowded.  Some people wore masks.  We did not.  Glad we went.  But, told DH I pay better attention when I watch Mass from couch.  I am too distracted in church....especially during homily....don't give me a quiz after....haha.  

kittyfan, hope you enjoy a restful day.  Did you pick your book yet?

Good afternoon.

No worries I am not a fan of jelly beans or those candy eggs. No chocolate is a different story.

I am on FB mainly to keep up with others. I do wish folks HB but don't post. Well got a friend request from lady I worked with years ago. She was from Dallas and her sister was a cowboys cheerleader. She would always have really long eyelashes. She would apply this at her desk. Well I looked at her pics. She looks older but in some ways the same. DH was not recognizable. Her sons are grown and dads now. I remember one story. They had a lovely home but champagne taste. Her DH was in Housyon on business. Walked into Rolls Royce dealership. Asked how much payments would be. Was told if he had to ask that he could not afford it!!!! Boys and their toys.

Haven't settled on a tome. Still some time.

I am not sure if I had lamb. Too cute.

Good morning ~

It's Moanday - oh joy all the undone chores day.  Hope everyone had a great day yesterday and enjoyd good people and great food.  DD fixed the lamb like a pot roast which I have never had it that way - it was Delicious!! Everone loved it.  GD and GD brought GD's dad with them.  Always nice to see him - he raised some teriffic kids!  SIL's brother and SIL also came. SIL's mom brought a huge apple pie and a large tray of assorted cookies.  She can bake!!!  A nice group. Got to see pictures of SIL's mom and dad's Barndominimum as well as her dream home which is almost finished.  Beautiful pictures.  So glad they were able to build their dream(s).  Beautiful cows as well.

walker, your cornbread/spoonbread is exactly how I make mine - sooo good!!!  The bunny cake sounds so cute and good as do the brownie bites.  You're right - no one is hungry after dinner but ate it anyway😊  Nice that you got to go to the brick and morter church.  Yes, it's best to pay attention - you may get a quiz as you said!.😄

kittyfan - I agree with you - not a fan of FB but mainly to keep up with others.  People release too much information and I am usually not that interested in what I consider bragging or how many bites their one year old threw to to dog, etc.  Great X and thank you!

cookie, you had a full house yesterday!! glad it was a good time and good food ... pictures of new builds are always intriguing to me ...

kittyfan, I hope you had a good day ... funny story about the "boys and their toys" ... and I can so relate to your dad's story about an Easter blizzard ... I've seen my share of blizzards, although never an Easter one!

walker, I hope you had a good day too! ... I laughed at your story about being distracted at church ... 🙋‍♀️ guilty!! my mind tends to wander too (especially if there are little kids around) ... your brownie bites sound really cute and I'm mad that I didn't think of that ... I know you mentioned it before. DH made a cake, but you're right, no one really wants much dessert after a big dinner!! we ended up with a lot of cake leftover ... I have to remember about those bites!! ... oh, I make that cornbread casserole (that's what we call it ..) sooo good!!

LG and LS had their egg hunt in the house ... DIL had a basket for LG but no way was he going to carry it and fill it ... he gathered the eggs in his arms and carried them to his basket ... funny to watch!! (as you can imagine, he lost half of them along the way) ... LS crawled to the eggs and into her mouth they went!! haha!

Is this April Fool's Day?  We woke up to snow on the ground here!!!!! 😬😵‍💫  At least yesterday was pretty...but chilly.

The Easter Egg Hunt/Crawl..haha...with LG and LS was cute, Tootie.  I can almost see it with LG running, arms loaded, eggs falling...ha!  Fun times!

kittyfan, you have some mid-western, northern blood if your dad was from WI!  Nice state....close to me...😊.  I assume though that was long ago and TX has been home for you.

No news here....guess I will glance at paper and get my motor started.....Happy Monday everyone!

Hello friends ... walker, I think it must be April Fool's Day ... it's 34 degrees and snowing!! I know there's always a chance of snow in April and May (I remember in early May it snowed big huge flakes on my First Communion Day) but after having some nice warm days earlier in the month I guess I thought we were in the clear ... I guess Mother Nature has other ideas ...

Yes my dad was from WI. He was 3 when his dad passed. My grandmother had six children. He was youngest. She was of sturdy stock. Ended up in Texas with military. Was stationed with my uncle. Met my mom. Both are gone now but that is the cliff notes.

Easter celebrations sounded lovely.
