Good evening. Another vote for cherry.

A few months ago we went to a funeral in the country. A group of red hats on back row. Well I was sitting waiting on my group. A lady from TS greeted me. She later asked me how I knew lady. She knew her from red hat. I knew her from another project.

I agree I didn't think red hats were flourishing. Occasionally the TS will get fancy red hats in donation.

Oh boy the Tote Races!!!  I still have a mental picture of Tootie runing after hers and now I can add walker to them🤣  Very nice of you walker to chase after your neighbors - a great Royal move on your part♕.  

I can send some 85 sunshine today but not sure if it will get blown away.  WIll send anyway. I love fruit cockttail and prefer the kind with the larger pieces - NO cherries.  One of the flavors I do not like at all besides 7-Up.  I am in the minority I know as most people seem to like the cherries. When I was a kid, I could trade with my brother who did not like the pears.

Good Morning Friends!  🇺🇸🇺🇦🙏☕️

I just turned on local news and they were showing damage from the wind yesterday.  Sure glad we only had the flying garbage cans.  Some areas had uprooted trees....one fell on car and ruined it!  Yikes!  I hope the winds fade before reaching your area, Tootie.  Sounds like it is calm there now.

cookie, cute story about you and your brother trading cherries and pears in Fruit Cocktail.  Someday I will pick up a can of that again for old times sake.  I'll bet fruit pieces are smaller....maybe one cherry...ha...will let you know.  

Speaking of canned food.....this may not sound good to you but .....last night I was trying to decide what to have with chicken....usually rice but wanted something different.

Recently, I picked up extra canned goods for a donation (some got donated to my pantry...haha).....I had a can of "new" sliced potatoes....and can of cream-style corn (which I like).....hmmmm.....maybe I will mix them together (got idea from a recipe of my mother's)....anyway....it was GOOD!  A QUICK SIDE DISH!  

kittyfan, I'll join you with that Ice Cream Sundae!  Yum...a real treat.  

Tootie, hope the last fish fry is as good as the first!  Meet us after for an ice cream sundae....No cherry on top for cookie... 😁.

Easter weekend already...today being Good Friday.  I'll go over to church this afternoon for Stations of the Cross.  My mother used to always take my brother and me to church for prayers sometime between 12-3pm.  We would return home and color Easter Eggs....quiet activity...quiet time...no TV or radio allowed during those hours.  Memories, memories.  

Babbling again...must be kittyfan's good coffee...😉.

walker, I also enjoyed reading your memories of Easter and QM .  Made me think of dying eggs and decorating them with my mom.  The canned corn and potatoes sound good, I will have to try them -maybe with some leftover meat?  In any case, you can always find something that you never would have thought of and it turns out great!  

Tootie, hope you enjoyed the Fish Fry and it was worth waiting for the last one.  I'll bet LG and LS are going to enjoy Easter egg hunting.  Lucky Grammie - kids are so cute all dressed up and excited.  I will send more sunshine today.  It may get hijacked - again😖

Good morning friends ... cookie, yes please send more sun ... right now we have a rain/snow mix coming down and our high for today is 45 .. same for tomorrow ... ugh!! ... DIL was going to hide plastic eggs in the yard for LS to look for but with this weather that is not going to happen ... I guess it will be indoors.

kittyfan, good luck deciding on a book for BC ... cookie had a great idea about getting your book finished ... hahaha!!

walker, what a quick and easy idea using the canned potatoes and creamed corn (DH's favorite) ... how was the Stations of the Cross? ... nice memories about Holy Week ...

I've got the sun cookie sent up...sending your way, Tootie. Thanks, cookie.....we won't make the 80's today but I'll take sun and 40's!  The inside Easter Egg hunt will be fun. Hope LG doesn't start finding them before the official start time! 

How was your fish fry, Tootie?  Hope it was good.  I had my own fish fry here....haha.

Stations of Cross were very nice....peaceful and meaningful.  What I really liked was that they brought it into today's world for children to relate.  They had programs to follow with everyone reading a part....men, women, children and teens.  It was well done and led by our pastor.....30 minutes...in and out.

kittyfan, your TS book will be an ongoing series! HA!  Followed by a Cafe series??  Good luck choosing your BC book.  A friend of mine was doing that too for her June meeting.  Let us know if you read a good one.

Lazy day for me. Had things to do but other things took over.

I said I set up irs payments online. First email it was received. 2nd did I want to proceed. 3rd was I certain!! Given a choice nope but my tax lady advised otherwise

I got my cc bill. I had ordered batting on phone but didn't know total. I t was more than expected. I am definitely done. I have heard repeatedly group doesn't have much money. I certainly don't know anyone's status but I know I have done Plenty

The TS got some weighted blankets. I had heard of them but wow they were heavy

DD and family came for dinner tonight.  They will be with SIL's family tomorrow for a brunch so tonight worked out better.  DS and family could not join us because of dinner with DIL's family.  And so it goes......go with the flow.....

No plans for tomorrow except early church....hope lightening doesn't strike....first time back in two years! So I will be checking in later here.....might go out for breakfast after.

kittyfan, I know what you mean about those weighted blankets....GD has one .....yes, heavy!!  I could not sleep with one.

Better go....I want more jelly beans!!
