Another winning day here....enjoy while we can...walks, bike rides, etc......or go south and swim with frogs!  Pretty funny story, cookie, about frogs in pool.  Great fun for Caiden and saved your DD from dealing with them...ha...or maybe she doesn't mind frogs...🐸.

Yum to your hot dogs on grill, Tootie....so good!  Nice to enjoy time with your DD too.

I am a shoe-aholic...haha.  I have a few from the Q....probably most comfortable sandals are Clark's Cloudsteppers!  Not cheap but worth it.  Also, have some Sketchers that are comfortable but found out not the best walking shoe...lose support.  Q used to sell Birkenstock's which I like as well....have several pairs well worn but still good.  When I watch shoe shows now, I have to resist the urge to buy!  Inner voice says...NO, you don't need those!!

Went to church this morning. Brand new baby. Lots of hair!!! Already spoiled I a m sure

Then she drops the other shoe. Food. I went on record to say NO to food. Was voted down---always done it that way. So I have already done this twice. She thinks I am doing it again. Okay we just did the shower last week and now again. I am so over it. One lady does more than her share but we are so smsll it's just not fair. I have already spent $$ had some other expenses this month. Off my soap box!!! I was secretary forever. Took mr forever to tap out note for Kristen.


Came home to thunder and drops. More thunder no rain. Saw reports of heavy rain . At least no dogs are bothered. Been there done that.


Loved Vlatk shoes. These days I am limited. My feet don't like many shoes and wearing compression stockings also. Oh the joy!!!

Hello ... oh kittyfan, just my two cents on your Ladies Club and food ... IMO, with this Delta variant (and I think it's going strong in Texas) no way would I want others to bring food at this time ... and if it's always the same people that bring food maybe your club could have a list ... each person takes a turn! (maybe that's how it is supposed to be now?)

We went over to see LG/LS today ... LG still doesn't like it when grandpa holds LS ... but he is doing a lot better.  Grandpa pays most of his attention to LG as LS is too little yet to know any better 😂 and besides she slept most of the time we were there ... but Grammie got lots of cuddling in.

What a nice day you had Tootie - Visiting with LG and LS!  Sounds like LG and Grandpa are building a great relationship.  Glad you got some cuddling in with LS.  Good Grammie 🥰

kittyfan, I agree with Tootie about the food at the Ladies Club.  TX does have high numbers with the Delta Variant, so it makes sense to me.  I think the taking turns could work if there was no Virus going on.  How about a picnic thing - each brings their own sack lunch - nothing that needs cooking?  They can even take home their own trash to allieviate leaving germs. 😊

walker, I love Birkenstocks!  Wore them all the time years ago and do miss them.  Love Clarks too.  I wore them so much they weren't fit for donations!  Any leftover Oatmeal cookies??  Yum!

We will be cooler today - thank you Tootie - only about 90.  We got a surprise T storm yesterday afternoon.  DD and SIL were swimming/playing with frogs and I heard thunder.  They came home as soon as the rain started.  Didn't last long.  SIL grilled huge chicken legs.  Haven't seen chicken legs that big for a long time.

cookie, glad you were able to enjoy chicken on the grill ... I bet your DD/SIL were glad that they were able to get some swim time in before it started to rain ...

walker, hope you had a good Sunday ... I had a couple pair of Skecher clogs w/memory foam ... they were nice and cushiony but very hard to walk in ... the foam lining was very slippery ... I like Easy Spirit and can order online ...

We are at 60 degrees now and will go up to 82 ... Have a good day ... pouring and passing.

Thanks for your input. Yes everyone should take a turn. But that doesn't happen. There is a schedule but this is a "calldd" meeting. Okay just meet and take care of business.

I went on record months ago about food. I am still opposed

I learned my cousins wife passed yesterday. She had dementia. He had to place her in memory care when he could no longer care for her at home.

Yesterday at church I was looking around for masks. Poor attendance so we were spaced but so few masks.

My week at TS. Tried to enforce masks but that was resisted. I will have mine and know others will also. Not sure why they don't. Yes it is incomparable, glasses fog etc but we all personally folks who had it. Even though I did not personally know the food truck lady j did have interaction with her.

Off to another nice start here ....beautiful morning...third day without A/C on....👏.  Having a problem with bees so sitting on deck yesterday was a little problem...🥴...always something.

Good idea, cookie, that you suggested for kittyfan's church group.  Bring your own food and take home your trash!!!  👍 Our church just did that yesterday....although we did not go.  They organized a picnic after church...bring your own...chairs too...sit outside and enjoy fellowship.

NOTE....just saw your email, kittyfan..almost bumped.....keep the meeting just business...skip the food for now.  Yes!

Tootie, glad you and DH got to enjoy time with LG and LS.

Such a special time in life....for grandparents anyway!!  HA! Don't you love it.....soak in all the love and hugs...spoil them and go home!  No responsibilities!  👍  Sounds like grandpa is handling things well with LG...as long as LG gets attention, he'll do ok.  

Although my GS and GD started school last week, today they have a DAY OFF!! 😳 Oh well....so be it...teachers need some service day after two days of school..🙄.  BUT, I benefit because 3A's don't start until later this week so they will be at DD's for swimming with cousins.  We will go over to enjoy the fun (and try to stay dry).

Another Pickles cartoon today with DH in it!!!  Did you see it, Tootie?   Husband goes to Home Depot for roll of duct tape.....comes home and wife sees receipt for $189!  🤣

It happens!  When DH goes to Home Depot I know it will be at least an hour before he returns.

OK....guess I'll go see if my Quiche is ready...haha!  By the way, I like those Easy Spirit shoes too, Tootie!  LOL ...I've tried them all over the years!

Hello ... walker, how fun, sitting around the pool with the grandkids ...did you manage to stay dry?? ... I did see the Pickles cartoon ... that could my DH too ... don't you know they have to check all the aisles for anything they may need .. hahaha 😂🤣

DD showed us a new park that she goes to that's not far from her apartment ... it has a nice walking trail, which we tested out ... she found it not too long ago and never knew it existed and that it was that close.

Hi there......winding down our Monday here!  Days do fly don't they?  We had a nice afternoon around the pool with kids today.  So nice to see them all having fun.  I "almost" stayed dry until a few water guns came out....water was flying everywhere....ha!  I got a bit wet and kids went...OOOPS....haha.  DH stayed dry...go figure!!!

Tootie, sounds like a nice park near your DD.  She can visit you for bike rides and you visit her for walks.  Fun!
