Good morning friends ... we had heavy rains during the night ... right now it is a cool 63 and our high will be 77 BUT the humidity is supposed to be low and it should feel like 77 not 100 ... we will see, but yes cookie, we are going to (try to) get a bike ride in ...

walker, the giving of the Food Truck was a nice surprise for the mom (and the Olympic winner) ... a great story with a happy ending all the way around.

It is a beautiful day in the neighborhood!  I will try to send some cool air to TX!  Lower humidity is a big plus....so draining as we all know.  It really affects my sinuses so happy to have this break.

Tootie, cute story about LG helping out.  Glad LS is doing well.  Hopefully, mom and dad too.

cookie, laughing about your surprise guest, Caiden, and his new voice.  I'll probably be saying that about my grandsons before long.  

kittyfan, another month of baby drama to go there?  At least you are done with the shower business.  Best news...you are one day closer to Cafe opening again for more yummy food there.  Should be fun to see the new menu items.

Well, no news here....nothing on schedule today....think I might get into my closet and clean it out....I can't get over how most of my clothes have not been worn (much) in over a year!  Guess I don't need them....not to mention my shoe collection....🙄.

Cookie: what a sweet surprise. Yes they grow up fast!!

I gor dressed and started our gor TS. Had a wardrobe mal function. Decided I really didn't want to make the trip. 15 miles each way. Someday are better than others!!

Yes looking forward yo Cafe! Had a sweet text conversation this morning. Still jhope for first weekend in Septrmbet.

I agree days are getting shorter. I notic r it as eatly evenings I go.out. too hot in middle of the day.

How's everyone doing this afternoon?  All ok with me...just finished a quick look-see in my closet.  I guess I have been keeping up with things as I didn't have much to discard but enough to fill half a bag.  Shoes...oh my....did not get rid of one pair....always say to myself....well, I still like them so I might use them again, etc....back in they go...HA!  I counted 36 pairs of shoes (a lot of sandals I do wear) and 2 pairs of nice boots...type to wear with skirts and dresses which I rarely do anymore.  But, you never know ....so, back they went into closet too.

kittyfan, I did not realize you drive 15 miles one way to TS.  Yes, think twice if you are not up to it.  Sorry about your wardrobe malfunction but glad it happened before you left home.

Not a fan of Happy Meals or chain either but young kids like them....younger kids...not my guys anymore.  When we travel we sometimes stop for a quick meal or cup of coffee.  My older DS would never let his kids go into the attached play areas....eat, play, throw-up area....😂.

Oh letting go. I have to be in the mood!!!

I am on a FB group with a number of my HS classmates. Well one lost his wife of many years to a battle with cancer. This was early spring. Well about six weeks ago started posting pics with a classmate (didn't know her) well they are getting married at EOM. I know I don't have a dog in the hunt but really---isnt that a bit soon!

A few years ago on another forum a posters husband was on dialysis and waiting on transplant. Son married on NYE and he was best man. Received a transplant in May. Had a reaction to meds and passed. Almost immediately widow started a relationship. Said they had all been friends! Holidays came she took fella to inkaws house. I guess I am old fashioned but this was way too soon to flaunt new relationship. She dropped out of sight after a but. I wondered what the outcome was. I know I sent her information on grief sites.

I know none of this affects me but find it odd.

J, jellybeans. I have a friend whose daughter was expecting. Wouldn't share name but called him jellybean. He has a lovely name.

kittyfan....ODD is right!!!  I think we live in a disposable society.....it's gone....move on....I do not understand....different world....but, I agree...whatever happen to some mourning time?  Must not have been a solid marriage.  DH knows I will come back and haunt him if he moves on too fast....🤣🤣.  

LOVE Jelly Beans....but only indulge at Easter time.

Hello ... walker, good for you for going through your closet and donating ... I take it you must like shoes ... I envy people that have lots of shoes/sandals ... I have terrible feet and really only feel comfortable in clogs ... but I do have some dress shoes for the need be ... I don't blame you for saving them though, just in case ...

kittyfan, I agree about it being too soon but I think some people may need that companionship and just "jump in" too soon, I wouldn't ... you do have quite a trip to get to the TS ... like walker said, good thing you realized you had issues with your outfit before you left the house ... we haven't been to the place with Happy Meals in years, since the kids were little ... cute story about Jelly Beans.

Good morning ~

Yay walker, you take another crown!  Clearing out closets is not even on my list this year.  With all those shoes, someone will be very happy.  I am like Tootie - feet not that good and can only wear Tom's, slide on clog types and flip flops.  Comfort comes first.  Never have been a fan of heels either. Laughing at your comment about coming back to haunt Desi!  😂😂

kittyfan, it sure is odd - whatever happened to grieving and showing some respect for the loss???  I guess I am old fashioned, I believe in waiting - if it's worth having, it's worth waiting.  Wardrobe malfunctions sure saved you a long drive!  Cute story about jellybeans.  

Had a lazy day yesterday.  DD is caring for the neighbors pool - she took Caiden and went across the street for a nighttime swim and found all sorts of frogs.  They had a great time with them.  To each his/her own!  

Tootie, thanks for the cooler weather.  We are supposed to be only low 90's today!!!  Also thanks for bumping - saved my pea brain from thinking too hard 😃

Good morning friends ... how fun that Caiden can help with the pool care and got to enjoy a swim ... but frogs?? you're right, to each his/her own! ... haha! laughing at your pea brain not having to think too hard ... certain words just pop up in our brains for certain letters ... 😉

We're at a very cool (thank you) 59 degrees now and our high should be 75 ... our humidity is down too ... I'll send some cool weather to my friends ... we will certainly be able to get another bike ride in today ...
