MissMadi, sorry to hear about your DH's accident in garage.  What a scare!  Glad he is ok.  As Tootie said, good thing you were home.  By the way, you mentioned his classic car.  What type?  DH and I like to go to Classic Car shows...memories, memories!  Our city holds one every month in summer....cancelled last year but, hopefully, back this year.🤞

Hello again ~ Laughing at your "paperboy" walker!!!  Love the "Church of the Couch"  too.  🤣🤣🤣  Enjoy your paper and the paperboy 😉.  I really miss my LA Times but the costs to mail/ship it here are horrible!  On line for me.

Tootie - DD is interested in what made your instant pot taste better than a rice cooker or whatever you used to use, etc.  She loves her old rice cooker and sometimes puts broth or butter mixed with the water.  I have added onions as well, but we prefer a little crunch to them so don't do it anymore.  TIA for any info the instant pot as a rice cooker.🥰

Hi cookie, I too, would use broth, butter and sometimes different seasonings (herb and garlic, onion, etc) when I would make the rice in the rice cooker ... I do the same now with the Instant Pot and (imo) the rice tastes better and is a little more flavorful ... not sure if it is because of the pressure pushing the flavor into the rice more than the cooker would or not ... the rice never comes out mushy in the IP where I have had times in the RC that it did ... could it have been the operator?? absolutely yes!! ... but in the end I prefer the IP to the RC ... I haven't had mine for very long yet, so I'm still in the "practicing" stage, but we have the rice down pat!! ... Hope this helps!

@walker  .... This is "Red" DH's '38 Chevy Coupe.  We go to as many car shows as we can every year.  Unfortunately, as you stated,  we also didn't go to any shows last year.  It was a bummer year all around.

Thanks to everyone for your kind remarks regarding our scare yesterday.  DH's cut on his head looked good this morning.  I was concerned he would have a headache but lucky he didn't.

Hi everyone.....MissMadi....WOW..."RED"....looks really good!!!  A beauty in the car world!  Glad your DH is feeling ok today.  

Sunny but chilly day .....DH decided to wash my car.  He came in with frozen fingers saying ....it's cold out there! Yup!  WELL..you could have waited until Mon or Tues when temperatures are near 80!!!  🙄  No comment...haha.

Good morning ~  Wow MissMadi, that is some car.  Glad your DH is feeling better. Men and their cars!!!   My ex had a 36 Ford among other old cars, it was a beauty too. We also went to car shows but more often to the drag strip as we both loved the racing!

Thanks for the response on the Instant Pot vs Rice Cooker Tootie.  I will pass this on to DD, although she needs another cooking gadget like a hole in the head 😄 We have one very large cupboard (floor to ceiling) in the utility room stuffed with her "gadgets" 😄😄 

walker, a clean car, grilled burgers - what's not to like? -  Frozen fingers!!! 

We will be 87 today..  DD and SIL went to the  ranch and took Shilo and Gypsy with them.  DD brought back pictures of them enjoyng all the cows and acres and acres to run around.  It is beautiful property.  So happy for SIL's folks that they have such a nice place to retire.

Good morning friends .. ugh! I had to jump through hoops to get on here today 😠 ... it brought me back to the home page but finally decided it had heard enough of my complaining 🤬

cookie, I had to laugh ... when I googled Lamb Korna (lamb stew made with a cream sauce and spices) the first thing that popped up was a recipe made in the Instant Pot ... as soon as I "perfected" my rice in the IP, the rice cooker was donated ... I can see why your DD has a whole cabinet of kitchen gadgets ... they do tend to multiply 🐇🐇🐇

It is Happy Birthday Day to my Three Amigos!  12 today!
Oh, the stories we can tell from early days starting with DIL painting their toes different colors to tell them apart...HA!

cookie, sounds like Seven was left out of trip yesterday to the ranch.  Awwww, guess he preferred staying home with you, right?  LOL!

So true about kitchen gadgets multiplying, Tootie.  It seems like one goes out the back door and three come in the front door! 😂

Beautiful Monday here....good day for a pedicure or tomorrow which will be 80!  I'm not getting manicures as often anymore.  It seems like after I get one I have more split nails.  Maybe a coincidence but I'll do my own for awhile as a test.   Nail polish doesn't stay on long anyway.  
I do love the gals at my salon though.

Time to get moving.....hope you all enjoy a Happy Sunny Monday!
