Hi kittyfan, I guess people just don't want to volunteer anymore and those that do (some) don't really want to help ... I wish that we lived close by as I'm sure the SCC would love to help out ...

Hopefully your train day will be a nice change of pace for you ... and with cheesecake?? even better ...

It rained here this afternoon for 10 minutes and then the sun came out ... cloudy now and we are at a comfortable 72 degrees!!

Hi all .... no news from me...quiet day....have to laugh thinking of SCC helping kittyfan out at TS!  Nothing quiet about us...but, so helpful...🙄🤣.  Just dial 1-800-SCC-HELP!  

Sometimes I wonder why God has put such special people in my life but....we don't live close together!!!  🙁 Guess I just have to wonder....

Good morning ~  SCC helping out at the TS - great idea!  We could get things done and have a great time doing it.  

Tootie, walker, I can just picture your DH's on SCC Court.  A continuous contest - who has the greenest lawn?? haha.  It has the makings of a TV show already.  Speaking of the Court, I hope it will b cooler there today since we will be hot again, but maybe under 100.  

Nothing on for today- more UB's.  I am getting tired of being tired. Sleep is no problem going, just staying.  Oh the joys of old age.....  How about you kittyfan, are you getting more sleep?

walker, I agree about the special friends ... we have developed a super bond ... it's amazing to think that we could have such a friendship without ever meeting!!

Yesterday at daycare LG "painted" a picture ... apparently it was National Pie Day ... they drew a picture of a pie and put a dab of some kind of "paint" and let him rub/hit on the picture ... today he is 8 months old!! yikes!!

We will have another pleasant day ... chilly now at 56 but our high will be 74 ... sending some coolness to TX ...

Good Morning Friends!  🇺🇸😷

I wish I could push some cooler weather to TX 🥵too!  Then maybe you could send up the warmer weather we need in winter...haha!  We are going to have another open-the-windows type of day here.   By the weekend, heat returns...close-the-windows....put A/C back on!  And....now for traffic report..😂....I say that because the traffic reporter always comes on after weather person on local news.  

Tootie, LG...8 months....goodness...he will be walking before you know it!   More fun everyday!  How cute he got to paint yesterday....I don't think my kids did that until preschool....well, maybe I had some watercolor paints at home...can't remember.  I do remember those paint books that you just put brush in water...onto paper and colors come alive.  I liked those...less mess...haha.  Stock up, Grammie!

cookie, hope you catch up on sleep....I hate waking up during night....lately I have been waking up 2 or 3 times...arrrggghh.

OH..TX ladies....just saw big fire going on in Grand Prairie(?)...anyway....everything in TX is BIG...looks like quite a fire at plastics plant.  Hope it is not near you.

Happy Wednesday.....need to quit babbling......and, just read an article in paper about cooking with peanuts and peanut butter....perfect timing......

Tootie, I cannot believe LG is 8 months old!!!  It was just lastt month when he was borrn!!!  How cute that he got to "paint"  I remember the same as you walker,  pre-school painting days.

I am sure kittyfan will agree with me - sending warm weather for the Northern winter!  I envy the open windows.  I do miss that about CA.

The big fire in Grand Prairie is up near Dallas Fort Worth, just below the DFW airport and west of Arlington.  Not close. Praying for the people up there as well as the firefighters.

I love Peanut Butter too but only Skippy or Farmers Market fresh stuff.  We eat a ton of it around here - it's addicting!  Loved it since I was a little girl.  My dad introduced me to PB on real SourDough bread fresh from the bakery.  Still love it to this day and still reminds me of my dad.

Good morning ~  Another hot day here - maybe under 100!  Heat and fires.  One here and another in Northern CA.  Horrible fires - so many people lost their homes and the fires are very difficult to control.  

Time to relax at the SCC Court and be thankful for what I have - great friends, good times and terrific Mimosas!  Of course it is perfect weather at the Court - it wouldn't dare be otherwise!  Do you think we should send some pics to Tootie's PD to show them just  what they're missing?  They must be bored to tears without SCC.

Good morning friends ... love the mask for kittyfan! they do have some great varieties of ones out there and the bee one is perfect for our BuzyBee!! ... the PD has been very quiet here ... those fires are terrible!! I cannot imagine having to evacuate ... what would one grab??!! ... sending thoughts and prayers to those involved ...

We'll have another 77 degree day ... windows opened ... we went for a bike ride last night and this cooler weather makes it so much easier to pedal ... lots of people out too!!

Hey Tootie - "U" are OK!!! Even if you like Jiff - haha.  Good thing there are many choices.  How nice you canhave such great bike riding weather.  Sounds like some pretty scenery as well.

Oh. What a great mask. There are some really cute ones out there.

The TS announced no donations in September. We have been overwhelmed. Only being open one day instead of two has teally made a difference. But we simply don't have the people power. Actually woman power. Only a few guys help. And I never get excited when I see a new face. Only after I see them again snd again

My aunt passed this weekend. Services will be on zoom. It is five hours so no way I would think of attending. She had been on memory care unit for a few years but she did wonder why no visits. so difficult for family she was on her 90s. My uncle passed many years ago. But they said it would have been their 71st anniversary.

My friend Nurse Brenda is home school central. The parents are both educators. Kids will go to school in a few weeks but she has them. Had set up study stations for each. I know they are doing well

I know when I lived close to the Bastrop complex fire i thought about having to evacuate. What would I take beside the dogs. I was without electricity for a week. I went to work. Hope in evening. Not a pleasant experience. I could hear the dozers. Watched the choppers dipping water from the lake.

Need to get moving. Picking up cheesecake
