Good morning ~  Nice to hear from you kittyfan.  I'll bet you are swamped.  Lots of things to go through and not enough ladies to do it.  Add the heat factor, you must be really worn out.

Doc via phone went well.  She is such a great doc - been going to here since moving to TX.  Everything is done electronically and I could see all my results via her portal.  I even got my next appointment scheduled and verified.  My A1c was great, but she is still watching my kidneys.  

I am tending to agree with you walker - a break from the MGR may be a good thing, so I'll start by not getting on  Tootie -  your thoughts?.  I can go round and round at home - not as much fun but very doable.  Fun while it lasted.  

FINALLY!!! I got stuck here for 25 minutes and couldn't do anything anywhere waiting for QVC. Frozen.  I finally hit the off button the right amount of times and was able to get back on.  Thanks Q.

We were 105 yesterday and same predicted for today.  Taking it even easier today - too hot to go outside. Tootie, I am envious of your pleasant weather.

Good morning friends ... all good things must come to an end. I'm ok with hopping off the MGR .. thanks for the memories!! we surely had our share of fun and I think the animals may be celebrating ... "finally those crazy ladies are gone! peace and quiet again!" ..

kittyfan, good to see you ... it sounds like the TS is busy, busy and not enough ladies to help out ... hope you are able to get your much needed relaxation ...

cookie, good news with your appointment ... I like the idea of a virtual one .. especially during this time ...

walker, happy to hear all went well with your appointment ... I also have a dentist appointment coming up in a couple of weeks ... not sure I really want to go ... this is my rescheduled one from May ... I'll see what happens.

We're at 61 now and our high will be 87 ... cloudy and low humidity ...

Happy Thursday!  No paper but have coffee and friends!  I need extra coffee today....did not sleep well especially after about 2AM.

So, we are all hopping off the MGR....good news for animals....it has been fun!  Laughing at your comment, Tootie.  And, cookie, I am with you....I can...and do...go round and round at home just not as much fun!  

Hope you start feeling better, cookie.  I'm glad you had a good meeting with doctor.  Keep doing what you're doing, eh?

kittyfan, glad you could get on....stay well!!  I assume you wear mask at TS and wash hands ...a lot....etc.  These are especially challenging times there.  On top of short staff, extra work plus HEAT....day after day.....whew...hope TX gets break soon.

Guess I will look for paper or get some breakfast....yawn...this will be slow day.....hope you all have a good one.  See you later.

Good afternoon. Attended book club. Really enjoyed the book. Five of us. Sitting apart. Hard to hear. Had a nice spot early. Parking issue fir this spot.

Merry go round was fun. Thanks for the laughs.

Tomorrow is TS. Then I will visit Café. Unfortunately will have company. Lady from church has some gossip. I am sure I don't care. She loves to share. I can hardly keep up with myself most days without knowing about everyone else!!

My knee is really bothering me. Hope that means a change on weather. Mr arthritis is nor my friend.

Oh the dreaded dentist appointment.


I have seen my resident deer most days. Fortunately no standoffs with dogs

Right behind you here today, Tootie.  DH just grilled some hamburgers which were good!  I do hope I sleep better tonight...hopefully  I will, since if I have a bad sleep night I usually get a good one.  I did catch a short nap...UB time...this afternoon.

Reminds me, kittyfan, did you ever get your sleep patterns straightened out?

Good luck with gossip lady, kittyfan! haha  At least you know you will enjoy the food!  Hope your knee feels better too. 

I did miss our MGR ride today.  cookie, you did such a great job finding pictures of our rides and describing them perfectly!  Great fun.  Maybe after a break, we can ride again once in awhile.  I think I read....MGR Closed Indefinitely...Repairs and Cleaning Needed! 😂

Good morning ~  Nice that you enjoyed your bookclub with social distancing kittyfan.  I know you will enjoy your Cafe visist even with the gossip lady,  Sorry your knees are bothering you.  I remember the pain of bad knees - it can ruin your day! 

walker, I also missed the MGR, but it did need a break.  I loved finding the rides and learned a lot while researching.  It was a lot of fun.  Your grilled burgers sound delicious!  Love hamburgers!

Tootie, I am still laughing at your comment from the MGR animals and crazy ladies..  We shall be remembered!!!  There's always your PD to keep us amused - haha.

Good morning friends ... yikes cookie! will you ever get cooler weather?? I would just melt even walking to the car ... we'll have another 83 degree day here but the humidity is low so it doesn't feel that warm ...

Last night we went down to the water ... across the canal there are a couple restaurants that were hopping with people ... one has turned their parking lot into a extra patio for outdoor eating ... they had live music that we were able to enjoy as we walked ... it was so nice to see people out and about and still social distance ...

I had to call the cardiologist yesterday ... I was good for a while with my palpitations (had very few) but the past couple days they were really bad ... it felt like my heart was going to jump out of my chest ... she told me that since everything was good on my tests that they are just a nuisance and nothing to worry to about ... apparently there is a medicine you can take so you don't notice them as bad but she preferred to see if I could do without them ... I will muster on ... walker, any more issues with yours?

Good Morning Friends!  🇺🇸😷

I saw the dark red color covering most of TX and thought...poor cookie and kittyfan...no relief!!  We have had some high heat that seems hard to deal with but yours is just constant...no breaks...ours is up and down.  Yesterday I had windows open, then closed and A/C on....by dinner...A/C off and windows open again...ha!!  (No wonder I am a confused person...😂.). Today, windows open for now...A/C going on again soon....humidity high!  Love open windows but thankful for A/C.

At least I slept better last night..whew!  I did wake up a couple of times but went right back to sleep.  Ahhhh...refreshed for today!  Today is haircut day too ...yipppeee.

Tootie, sorry to hear you have had a couple more of those heart palpitation episodes.  They are always scary.  I get them occasionally too....not as bad but still unnerving. I would avoid meds too, if possible.   Maybe you already do this....I do....when it happens....breathe in deeply ...then slowly exhale through your lips.  You might have to do it more than once.  It seems to calm my palpitations...some say it resets heart.  Also, do you like the smell of lavender?  A friend of mine suggested I use some lavender oil or lotion.  Put it on hand and breathe in...also, calming.  Hope this helps....sure wish we knew what is triggering these episodes. Do yours still happen after eating?  Sometimes mine happen in middle of night.  I think it is because I am too warm.  To be continued....always something, eh?

I better get going.....oh, the low-life individuals of Chicago hit an all time low here....they vandalized a Ronald McDonald House in city!!!!  What the heck!!!?? 😡

Good afternoon ... walker, I get the confusion with the windows ... mine were opened this morning but it got a little too warm this afternoon so A/C is on! ...

I am still getting palpitations after I eat (but not all the time) ... it's so weird, but the doctor said they could happen anytime ... thanks walker, I do the breathing and walking around seems to help too ... I asked if I could go for a bike ride while having them and she said "absolutely, you can!!" ... I think these darn things are more scary than dangerous (at least in our case) ... I will look into the lavendar ... I feel relieved after talking to her ...

Ugh!! A Ronald McDonald House vandalized?? why?? I don't understand this nonsense ... I just get so mad when I see stuff like this on the news ...

Hope everyone is having a good afternoon ... I say Nilla wafers ...
