Good morning friends ... another hot and humid 78 degree day ... we had some very high winds last night after dinner ... DH had to go out and take the hanging plants down (I think they may have ended up in the next town had he not ...) some lost power around us (luckily, we didn't!)

cookie, I can see how people are physically depressed ... but glad that you will muster on ... those pillows will be so comfy for the dogs ... haha!! ... yesterday, I told myself that I "should" continue on with the cleaning the basement ... but did I?? no, it was a lazy day for me!!

walker, I hope your GD had fun at the game and I'm sure she'll make good on coming over to bake with Grandma ...

Karen looks so proud to be riding the MGR (even without her eye shadow) ... I love her shade of lipstick!! haha!! ... I think I'll ride a bunny today ... round and round and round we go ...

Good Morning Friends!  🇺🇸😷

Happy Monday!  It is actually "chilly" here this morning...60's.  I know you gals in TX probably don't know chilly....sorry.  For some reason, in the north, when August comes you start to feel Fall move in with cooler air.  Maybe I am feeling it because July has been so hot!  Oh well...

cookie, I think a lot of people have that depressed feeling....thank heavens for our good friends to lift us up! We do it well here too, eh?  Nothing but bad news in the world.....virus, protests, riots; if people aren't sick they are mad or sad from it all...ugh!  I have enjoyed some good chats with friends recently.....Saturday a friend and I were saying...August already?  Time flies and we aren't having fun!  Let this year FLY....take virus and madness with it!

My guys are having a real good time...and good weather to enjoy it as well..good thing.  DH finally got to travel the "Road to the Sun" at Glacier Nat Park yesterday....said there were a lot of people there....they are mostly to themselves in car or keeping distance.  Today they start heading home with stop at Mt, Rushmore and Badlands in South Dakota....home Thursday.  A great adventure for all...Three Generations...special time.

I am enjoying the quiet..or is it just "ticking by my own clock"?...10 days to just think about myself....kind of nice for a change....do what I want when I want....but "me, myself and I" might start arguing soon...🤣.  

Tootie, you will laugh about this.....DH is wondering how his lawn is...haha.....too long yet?...have we had any rain?...haha.  I think he is afraid I might get the lawn mower out!!  (not a chance)

Here I go again.....rambling on....oh...finished the Book Woman book yesterday....did you say there is a sequel, cookie?  Good story...interesting but sad too.  And....I watched the astronauts return yesterday....fascinating...like watching John Glenn come down again.....anyone else see it?  Glad it was a safe mission.

Queen needs to stop babbling and get on the MGR...save me some mimosas.....Karen and her lipstick are pretty funny....think I will keep quacking along on Danny 🦆 Duck.....👋👋....move along Queenie......OH...have never heard of Wet Fries, cookie!  And....no cookie baking yet......yak, yak, yak.......OK...BYE FOR NOW.

Tootie, I have just the Bunny for you!!  Belinda Bunny.  Isn't she cute?She is a sweet little lady and older than she looks.  She loves crocheting and making lace for her many, many relatives.  She has been known to sip a few Mimosas on occasions.  She will fit right in!

Glad you enjoyed the Book Woman.  It was very good but a little slow.  I think the author said there will be one, but I could have confused it with another book I was reading at the same time.  Kim Richardson has other books - on Amazon that may be interesting.

Your guys are really getting some great experiences!

walker, I did get to see the astronauts do their splash landing ... interesting to watch!! but was getting antsy when they couldn't open up the hatch right away ... patience!! ... laughing about DH and his lawn ... and I bet he has a certain way to cut it too ... hahaha!!

cookie, Belinda sure is a cutie ... and if I have one too many Mimosas, I can just grab on to her ears ...

Quack...Quack.....fun on a Duck today!!  I laughed at Tootie holding onto her bunny ears....🤣....whatever works, eh?  

I was out and about today starting with eye exam.  Stopped in a couple of furniture stores looking for a "few" things...haha...wait til DH gets home....my list of "let's do" items is growing!  

OK....speaking of Quack-Quack.....I was just channel surfing and usually pass by the Q to see what is on..Quacker Factory...had to laugh....had a shirt on for our Busy 🐝 ......top had bees on it....right away thought of kittyfan!  Mine would need wine glasses...haha!

Oh the bees. Joan Rivers did bee pins. They were good luck.

Well went to TS. Found some plates for Café. Couldn't find anyone to transport. Loaded some up and zipped over. No one around so I left on bench. Went back and loaded up more. This time folks around. I pulled in a bit away from folks. One of the directors walked over. I don't know of he recognized me or not. I said I had plates. He asked if they were chipped. No. I have been bringing them plates for about four years. Saved them lots of $$. Well as it turns out as I handef off the last batch I did see a chip. I did point it out. He did comment on the number of matches.

Iwhen I got in the truck it said 120. Well I had windows down a bit and sun shield in. When I got to Café it wad 118. Only a few miles. By the trme I got home 102.

I was exhausted. Took a nap. Woke up to see we had a bit of rain. Only a bit. Not enough to set the ground.

Walker. Your DH may not leave again! You find too many things. But I know first project is grass.

Oh on the shelter website had an Old English Sheepdog we had three over the years but my big dog days are past. I know there will be lots of interest to adopt.

Good morning ~  walker, it sounds like your DH and the gang are having a great time!  It's always nice to come home - except for the unpacking!!! 

Laughing about your and Tootie's DH's and their favorite topic - The Lawn.😂.  Men are funny creatures.

So nice of you to donate plates to the Cafe.  I'll bet they appreciate you!!!  I love mismatched dishes - just for fun and it makes them unique and homey.  I hope the Old English Sheepdog finds a home - I hear they are sweeties.

Tootie, I read that it is pouring down rain in your state.  We got a few minutes of rain and then it stopped.  We will be 98 today.  I am glad we didn't enjoy the temps kittyfan ran into yesterday!  Not a fan of heat.

Lab this morning then it's time to jump on the ever-present MGR.  I will be riding 

Chester Cheetah.  He resides in Las Vegas due to his gambling addiction.  Never, never play cards or any other game with him.  He cheats big time!  Other than that, he is a fun fellow.  He is available for Birthday parties and any other attractions found only in Las Vegas.  Will see about the Mimosas,Although he strikes me as a Jack Daniels type of guy.

Good morning friends ... we'll have another cloudy 78 degree day with showers on and off ... cookie, the heavy rain is in NYC where they are getting hit from Isaias ... I don't think our side of the state will see much from that ... how fun to ride Chester today ... he looks like he will zip in and out and all around the MGR ...

walker, glad you enjoyed your "fieldtrips" to the furniture stores yesterday ... I think kittyfan is right, DH will not want to leave you at home again!! haha!! ... happy to hear that the Great Adventure is going well ... I bet the Amigos are going to be so full of excitment when they get home ... such a nice trip with great memories for them!!

kittyfan, yikes!! your temps are high!! I would be so wilted!! ... I'm sure the Cafe appreciates the plates you give them too!! ... I always thought that Joan Rivers Bee pin was really cool ...
