All this Grand Canyon. Now you ladies may not know that Texas has Palo Duro Canyon. Quite a lovely spot. Since you are traveling Route 66 it is worth a 30 mile detour! Beautiful spot. Not as commercial as parts of Grand but Flagstaff is a beautiful area.

There is a famous Steakhouse in Amarillo. No trees and lots of nothing!!

Oh the balloon festival would be fun. For a time there were balloonists in the area. Would fly over on Saturday

Kittyfan, laughed at your X .... so true.... Our dentist sent his three kids to a pretty expensive college (all went to ND) and I think  know we helped with tuition.  

Cookie, 'Grand Canyon of your tooth' ...ha!  Hope you are feeling better with that now.  And....Queen leaving her mark at Grand Canyon....ya think?  If I lose my crown, I will send a message to Tootie to have her DD look for it.  And, Tootie, then your DD will say " you and your friends really are nuts!"....LOL!

Well, just back from attending a homeowners association meeting.....DH is on the board....everyone keeps asking why I am not on board also......"no thanks.....I am the support staff"...ha!

Meeting went well so glad that is done.

Good morning ~  kittyfan, I am still laughing at your X.  So true!  Our dentist is a friend of my DD's and gives me a very nice discount, plus she is really very nice.

kittyfan is right, Texas does have some very pretty places tucked away.  Make sure you take your rhinestone crown if you plan to leave it anywhere (marking your territory?) - wouldn't want to lose your diamond encrusted one.

Speaking of staff - A queen does not need to attend meetings - she has a staff that will do it for her and she supports them!

walker, since you have "connections" to the board, if the HOA ever needs "help" with anything, you can put a good word (and even persuade ) them to ask the SCC to show them "what we got" ...

LOL, Tootie......the SCC helping out HOA?  We would certainly provide entertainment at a meeting!  And, cookie, good thought on leaving the "good" crown home and taking a rhinestone one.....hey.....how about a Diamonique Crown?!!  Oh, funny! Maybe the Q could make a special one for me. 😂👑😂

Just got word from my BFF in Las Vegas that one of her SIL's employees was killed, a friend of his business partner was killed   Several of her son's employees were affected..one employee had a friend die in his arms...it just goes on & on..........  Crazy -  My other friend in LV is okay as are her family.  Still crazy. 

Birthday BAT could make a Grand Canyon Crown for Queen's alling card.  SCC is multi talented!!!

OH NO!  I am so sorry to hear that sad news, cookie!  I meant to ask earlier if you had any updates.   Horrific how many this has affected!  SAD!  VERY SAD!  Sadness continues.....

In view of the incident this week,  maybe we should try to have a quiet, fun, BAT this weekend with no problems with P.D.  They may be shocked how NICE we can be.....Smiles, Doughnut Cake, Doughnuts and Coffee in appreciation......then nice "quiet" gathering with mimosas while we create that crown!  ???

Enjoyed my Three Amigos and can still keep up with 3rd grade homework...ha!!!  However, I must admit with math I have to reread a few problems....ha!!!  Hated story problems!!!  

Guess I will dim the lights in kitchen....chat more tomorrow....rest well everyone!

Good morning ~  I like the idea of a quiet crown making BAT!  The PD won't know how to act.  We can rest up for future escapades.

Hi bigkat, nice to see you again and so early!  Thanks for the coffee.  walker, I can keep up with English and some Geography but Math is ridiculous!  It takes 15 pages of doing to do something that was so easy back in the "old" days.  Math was never my best subject anyway.  

Last night I felt a tickle on my shoulder and thought it was kitty whiskers - NO!  I went to swipe it off and was stung on my shoulder and my finger by  a scorpion!  This was at 12:45am,  Turned on the light and found it crawling on the quilt.  Grabbed that sucker with a convenient paper towel (I have cats) and squished hard then flushed him.  He was about 1.5" long and except for his body, the tail was clear until the tip.  Curious minds want to know these things.  

 Another day of hot and muggy.  Every day is a new hair style!  Pouring and passing ~
