Good afternoon! No school today, which is good. I think it is because of the cold. We got another 5 inches over night, and have more to come off and on through Friday. Tomorrow is supposed to be even colder, if so, I hope they cancel school again. I was surprised my youngest went out for recess a few times yesterday. I thought when it was below a certain temp. they had to stay in. It was only in the low teens and then a wind chill on top of that.

Chicken recipe sounds great Walker! Must copy that down.

Hey, gimme a break - I'm SICK!!!! {#emotions_dlg.crying} I did the rest of my shopping yesterday and all that walking, carrying, and putting stuff away was a bit much with my sciatica - my "good" knee is hurting so much I can't put any weight or pressure on it. Jellybean is getting around without falling over so much, but wants to snuggle constantly, which is OK...but then others get jealous and pile on top of me as well.

It's nasty cold out - 30° - and supposed to go to single digits tonight. {#emotions_dlg.scared} I have to remember to let the outside faucet drip so my pipes don't freeze again; fortunately it'll be back into the 40s in a few days.

Oh FHG ... you really need to get some rest and/or medical attention ... I know your funds are strapped, but isn't there some kind of a free/discounted (don't know what else to call it) clinic somewhere in your area that you could go to?? ... you don't want to let your sickness get the better of you!! ... hope you feel better soon ... stay warm!! from the sounds of it, I think your furbabies will take care of that for you!!

Tootie, There's not much that can be done apart from rest and taking painkillers, which I'm doing, and wait for it to pass. Rest is difficult when you have a large family as I do, with all the furkids clamoring for attention, especially since I've been snuggling the sick baby.

Substitute doglets for the kittie---that would be me!!! Mr. Boodles sleeps under the covers. I am trying to get in bed and he is wanting to get his spot!!! We had a sweet girl that slept under the covers. She was like a ""furnace"". Kept your feet warm in the winter!. Sanders went to Rainbow Ridge after 12 years with us (rescue). Sad weekend at our house.

Day 2 of Hibernation...in some ways I enjoy having a reason to stay inside ( as long as it isn't too long).......typical January but, at least I have been productive inside...cleaning closets....however, I never miss an afternoon UB! FHG...when things went wrong my husband used to say..."if I didn't have bad luck I would have no luck".......seems like you are in a "bad luck cycle".......has to get better! Can't wait to hear better news. Kittyfan, sorry you lost a special family member. Did I miss something? Just happened? Tootie, our furnace is on overdrive too...hope it hangs in there for us. We are below zero now....many schools closed again tomorrow....more inside projects for me...if sun shines.....keeps my energy level up. Good night, friends, rest well. Good morning ~ FHG, this used to be me when I had 9 indoor cats and a CA King bed! Gotta love 'em. Hope you're feeling better - take good care. kittyfan, they definitely are furnaces! We call our dogs "doglets" also. We were cold yesterday with wind. It is 20 right now and we'll see 40 again. DD got another wig and it is really, really cute! She is having too much fun with wigs! Better than the alternative. Staying in today. Stay warm all!
