Does anyone use The Silver Spoon cookbook? I've had mine since about 2006 and have not made many recipes. However, this past weekend, I had a hankerin' for eggplant and remembered a recipe from The Silver Spoon. It is called "Grandma's Eggplant" and involves tomatoes,  olives and capers. I combined that recipe with a Weight Watcher's recipe for eggplant casserole with chicken, and it was fantastic! No way you missed the pasta! I'm going to return to The Silver Spoon more often!

Re: The Silver Spoon Cookbook

My mother used it often and she was a great cook.We have the Italian version ,which I believe is the original .The title is "Il Cucchiaio d'Argento",which means silver spoon.I left it in my house in Italy because it is huge.

Re: The Silver Spoon Cookbook

@Bibione You are right, it is HUGE! I was just telling my DH I wish I have to look if there is an electronic version available. It's so much fun to read, but it's heavy. Yes, the Italian version is the original, the one I have is Americanized for the likes of me.
