DH loves salmon so when I attended a healthy cooking class, I copied this recipe and promised him that I will make these. Had a sample, and it wasn't bad.

1 pound medium ground salmon

1 oz. each - minced celery, minced green onion, diced bell pepper

3 oz. bread crumbs

1 egg

half teaspoon each - horseradish, lemon juice, Dijon mustard

dash of white pepper and dill weed

Mix, shape into patties and grill. It's so cold outside, that I'm going to use my George Forman grill.

I don't care for salmon, but know it is good for us. However I think I will try this rather then purchasing the salmon burgers at our supermarket. May even try this with crab, minus the horseradish.

Thanks for posting!

I have been making salmon cakes or patties for years now, very similar recipe. Adding a little Old Bay seasoning is a great finishing touch for better flavor. I always use Red Salmon in the can.

I love to add capers and one Tbs finely minced yellow onion. There are so many things you can do to crank it up a notch, but my favorite is capers.

When I cook salmon I always cook a little extra. Fresh salmon makes all the difference. I either make salmon burgers or salmon salad - both delicious.
