Last night was our SJT dinner at our church. As usual it was wonderful. However, again this year I spent time on cooking sites looking for a recipe for this bread. It has a very tender crumb and has anise flavoring but not the seeds. Usually has some kind of seeds on top. I asked the person who makes the bread but she was very reluctant to share her old Italian recipe! She did say, it only rose once then baked but that is all she would say! Does anyone have this recipe that they would share? Thank you.
