SUE~P RECIPES FOR ALL THOES VADALLIA ONIONS

Sue,

Started a new thread hoping others will follow suit and give you some more recipes so that you can get them used up. You can also cut them up, freeze them in these patties, and take out you need for a meal.

Here is one that I make a lot and it came from River Rat years ago.

Onion Patties ~ RR
3/4 cup flour
1 tbls sugar
1 tbls cornmeal
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
3/4 cup milk
2 1/2 cups finely chopped onions
Mix dry ingredients together; then add milk. Batter
should be fairly thick. Add onions and mix thoroughly.
Drop by tablespoon into 1/2 inch of hot oil in skillet.
Flatten slightly when you turn them. Brown on both sides
until crisp.
Tastes just like onion rings.
