1 (2-1/2 to 3-lb.) chicken, cut up

2 carrots, cut into sticks

2 onions, cut into eighths

1 (13-3/4 oz.) can chicken broth

1 garlic clove, minced

2 tablespoons chopped pimiento

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground oregano

1/16 teaspoon saffron powder

2 cups cooked rice

1/2 pound shelled raw shrimp

12 small clams in shells

In slow cooker, combine chicken with carrots, onions, broth, garlic, pimiento, salt, oregano and saffron.

Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours.

Turn to HIGH.  Add cooked rice, shrimp and clams.

Cover and cook on HIGH for another 30-50 minutes, or until shrimp is one.

Thx for sharing. Sounds yummy. I just wanted to say Thank You for posting your recipes. Seems like there are not many posted since the new forums started.

You're welcome.

I'm just going through old books, selfishly  looking for ideas,  and typing them out  will help  get them into one file that might come in handy.

I don't like a bunch of  mostly useless books cluttering up my shelves!
